Benny is a real pro - responsive, honest, and reliable. We had just moved into our new place and wanted to address the popcorn ceiling in our living room and entryway. He responded quickly to my quote request, scheduled an in-person meeting promptly, and stuck to the availability he provided at the quote we discussed. I am one of the fussiest home owners when it comes to things done in my home. My family room was damaged due to a water leak so decided to remove the stucco from the ceiling & make it a smooth ceiling flat with new pot lights. Went on Homestars & saw these amazing reviews of Benny's Stucco Removal so decided to call and discuss the job with him. Initially didn't quite buy such great reviews so thought I would pursue this and did with no regrets.

I sent Benny photos of Family Room along with a floor plan and emailed to him and I had an estimate back the following day. Basically, this job was done on a "handshake" like the good old days as both he and I felt comfortable with one another. He arrived on the day the time he said he would, despite not realizing it was a civic holiday. The first time I met Benny was at my home that day. Look no further if you want to put your mind at ease, as Benny is the right person for this type of work with many years of experience. You won't find a timelier contractor out there. Arrived at my home on the button, always kept me informed as to the progress he was making on a daily basis and what the next step was.

I must say Benny is a perfectionist. The Job was more difficult as my stippled ceiling was painted with oil paint. It took Benny an extra day to finish the job as he added 2 extra coats of lath (unexpected) and honoured his quote not billing me for the extra supplies and time he spent on my ceiling, to make certain it met his high standards he has set for himself.

Every other contractor advised me that they would not able to match up the paint color (Benjamin white ceiling paint straight of the can) for my family room with the adjacent open flat ceiling being the kitchen (which was painted several yrs prior with same white ceiling paint) and wanted to charge several hundred dollars extra, but Benny with his experience felt he could and did, saving me a lot of money and anguish. Clean up was not even painful as there was not the big mess I anticipated, as he has the right equipment for this type of work and made sure the rooms were properly sealed before commencing work.

Benny came out to help us remove the popcorn ceiling in a few rooms in our house. He did a fantastic job, the ceilings in those rooms now look so much nicer than the other ceilings in the house. Even though the job was a bit harder than he originally anticipated, he still completed it on time and on budget. Benny was all around great to work with and I highly recommend him.

Benny landed in my home and finished off two floors of removal in 3 days and the end result is wonderful. Professional, diligent and fast. Quality work, looks great, fully satisfied. Highly recommend.

Benny did an excellent job to remove the popcorn ceiling of my 30+ years old condo. My renovation contractor was supposed to do the removal job but he kept saying it might not be possible as the previous owner had painted the popcorn ceiling more than once. I found Bennys name on reddit and HomeStar had 10/10 ratings from his customers. Though I normally dont trust customer reviews but I was too desperate to get the job done so I decided to give it a try. Benny gave me a reasonably good quotation and I was v happy with the end result. I ended up asking Benny to do the whole condo painting.

Benny took down the drop ceiling in our basement and replaced it with drywall. He also skim coated the textured walls and ceiling of our house.

Benny is a master plasterer, is very detail oriented, and takes great pride in his work. His work exceeded our expectations - the walls, ceilings, and entrance of our 1931 house look brand new, and it's hard to believe they were ever textured. Even the parts that were in terrible shape.

The job at our place was a bit more than he expected, yet he stood behind his original quote and was always very conscious of our budget. I've hired some great contractors in the past, but I have to say Benny is the best of the best! Hire him and you won't be disappointed!

Most people are apprehensive about hiring a contractor because the reviews sometimes dont tell the full story, and nobody wants any surprises. Benny is a highly skilled master plasterer who does all the plastering himself. One part of our ceiling in the foyer had a slight bow due to a structural problem, which became more noticeable after the stucco was removed. Benny could simply have stopped at the level 5 finish, but he's very picky and wants everything to be perfect. He went over that area several times and got it to a point where the bow just blended in with the rest of the ceiling.

There isn't much more I can add to what others have already said about Benny, but to say that when you hire him, hell tell you upfront what to expect and hell deliver. His price is very reasonable and definitely better than the larger contractors. If its a tossup, and you're looking for perfectly finished ceilings, pick Benny. You will pat yourself on the back later! We had stucco removed from all levels in a 4-bedroom house. Benny takes a lot of pride in his work and he has transformed our home. He is the contractor I would recommend to family and close friends. He's also a nice guy!

Benny did an excellent job in taping, patching and priming our walls. Jobs was very neat and he works clean. No mess left behind. Took about a week of work to complete the job. We had actually planned to hire Benny to put up the drywall as well but our schedules didnt meet so we hire someone else. He became available after they were up so we hired him for taping. I wish we wouldve had him put up the drywall as well. We would definitely work with Benny again.

We had Benny in to remove popcorn ceilings in 3 large rooms and a hallway on our main floor just before we moved in. Benny is not only a fantastic contractor but an extremely nice guy as well. He kept us up to date on his progress and went above and beyond to complete the project before the movers arrived with our stuff. The end product looks incredible. He applied 3 skimcoats and it is like the popcorn never existed. I highly recommend you give him a call. Thanks Benny!
