Entire main floor of our detached house in Mississauga

Kitchen & Batch Oakville has it's showroom right at the border with Mississauga & Oakville, and I first contacted them when I received a flyer in my Mississauga News flyer bundle late in 2014. Our house is about 30 years old and we needed a renovated modern kitchen with a wall removed After contacting them, two young women from the company came over by appointment (Tiana & Michelle), both seemed to know what they were doing. After measurements of the main floor were completed, they gave me a few important suggestions of how to merge the old kitchen with the old dining room. A week later my wife and I visited them for a 3D rendering of our project on their computers, and we were suitably impressed. Their pricing is very transparent as they use a costing/ordering software and it is usually pretty accurate. No eyeballing and guesswork. We sat on this initial estimate for the kitchen/dining room blending plan for a few days and then visited a Home Reno show on Airport Road, where we met Hamid and his team again and signed up there as he had a special deal going on there for signing at the show. We eventually refined the project twice more, then added a laundry room and then a main floor powder room and then entire main floor flooring and then upgraded to solid maple cabinetry as well as added Living room media cabinetry, again in solid maple. Eliminating an entire dining room (10 x 10) and merging it with our old kitchen (10 x 10), gave us a 20 x 10 open concept Eat-In Kitchen now that we absolutely love! Alas, the wall that had to be removed was load-bearing, so an engineer was brought in, structural drawings made and then Kitchen & Bath brought in their special team led by Mr. Milan the architect, who in 10 days had removed the load-bearing old wall safely and then using the drawings put in a 17 feet long LVL beam with foundation running down to our basement and even 3 feet below our basement concrete. That sub-project cost us two full weeks, but we were on a roll by then, and a computer drawn image was slowly taking shape in front of our eyes. Once drywalling was completed, the sanding and mudding team removed all the old popcorn ceiling on our entire main floor (a very messy job indeed), then gradually added three separate coats of new mudding to give us a smooth white ceiling and walls, ready for new designer paint. After the paint job (done by another contractor), final cabinetry measurements were made, island cabinetry design was refined and in two more weeks, cabinetry went in, with a 2 week period for flooring done by Kitchen & Bath again of edge-rectified, porcelain tiles and bamboo everywhere else; it looked awesome! Kitchen cabinetry design and installation is this company's specialty and it is no surprise! Two weeks for all cabinetry to go in laser levelled and on perfect height, ready for Quartz and granite countertops, selected by us, and installed by a sub team from Kitchen & Bath. Seamless design, no lines seen anywhere. Then came the premium undermount sinks, and laundry sink, lastly cabinetry handles. Potlights was last and suddenly this old house had a modern look all over. Oven, new washer, dryer, dishwasher, fridge went in last. Glass doors on cabinetry arrived last, and they even sent a touch up guy after two weeks to fill in small ceiling wire-fishing holes and blemishes, so the end result was stunning. Our project manager was Sofien who, along with owner Hamid, and inventory manger Shapor, supervised a solid team of staff that worked as a team and completed the project almost on time. This team is going places, and should win many awards besides our admiration and respect. 10 stars from my family. They earned it! Getting late today, but will upload project photos soon.

Kitchen Renovation

We hired Kitchen and Bath Inc to renovate our kitchen. Since we did not know anyone who could recommend a contractor, we went with our intuition after meeting with Hamid. They understood our need for a simple, classic kitchen and designed and executed a kitchen exactly to what we had in mind! They kept close to the estimate, the only additions were for a couple of issues that were uncovered during the work. They had also estimated 4 weeks for completion and actually finished the work 2 days early! The team was extremely responsive and respectful under Dan/Sofien, our project leads. We love our new kitchen and are considering getting our master ensuite renovated by them in the near future! Thanks to the extended team of Tiana, David, Tina and Amir! Ask for Shapur, he is resource par excellence!

Kitchen Renovation

Having my kitchen completed by Kitchen & Bath was our best decision. Not only did we receive prompt service, but our kitchen was completed a week early! We got all custom finishes in a white shaker style. It took roughly 3 weeks for Kitchen & Bath to order the product and about 2 to install it. Highly recommend Kitchen & Bath for anyone who's looking to have their kitchen completed not only by an affordable and reliable company but by a company who truly cares about the end product.

House / Kitchen complete renovation

First off let me say that I do not regularly write in blogs or provide feedback for companies with which I do business. My expectation of work performed by a specialized company is very high and I would normally expect service excellence. That being said, I feel it is incumbent upon me to provide feedback for a recent renovation project that I began back in October 2014. After reviewing several local renovation based companies in my area, included a “big box” retailer, that shall remain nameless, I decided to engage Kitchen & Bath Inc., located on the Mississauga/Oakville border. (Link www.kitchenandbath.ca)
Kitchen & Bath were not the “cheapest”, but they were by far and away, not the most expensive. As a well informed and intelligent consumer, I did my research and I based my decision on price and other factors that I think are equally important. Ability to do the job, a properly licensed workforce with many decades of experience each and a General Manager that truly took the “customer satisfaction” philosophy to a level I seldom see. I have been “ripped off” before, and this time I was going to be very careful.
Initially, I had intended to undertake a kitchen renovation for my home that I purchased as a “fixer upper.” My home is a four bedroom side-split and was built which was built circa 1955. The kitchen was very dated, the floors badly worn and let’s just say, the house was not very well maintained by previous owners.
So it was that I met with Kitchen & Bath interior decorator Michelle and General Manager, Hamid in my home. We talked in detail about what I had envisioned – my “dream kitchen.” To get what I really wanted, we talked at length about removing some of the walls and other grandiose ideas. Hamid made it clear at the outset that these walls may be load baring and we needed to keep that in mind for budget. Michelle took many photos and together they spent the next while measuring and taking copious notes. Shortly thereafter, I received a quote that I thought was fair and well thought out and so I signed on the dotted line.
Seeing that Kitchen & Bath Inc., is busy with other customers, my renovation was scheduled to start several weeks later. Perfect timing for me as it gave me times to prepare. I decided to do the demolition myself with the help of family and friends. Early on, I discovered that a “botched” roof shingling job resulted in a leak lasting at least three years. I made a desperate call to Hamid and he laid my fears to rest with a “we can take care of that” resolution that made me feel much better about a bad situation.
One the first day, all the materials arrived and I was introduced to the tradesmen who would be helping me. I must say that watching these fellows work was poetry in motion. They were all very accomplished tradesmen which was self-evident in their work. Everyone was licensed with some having over 20 and 40 years of experience! There were carpenters to do the carpentry work, plumbers to do the plumbing, electricians to do the electrical and the “go to guy” to seamlessly tie it all together. None of the “Jack does everything scenario.”
The renovation did take longer than initially anticipated but this was in no way the fault of Kitchen & Bath Inc. The leaking roof caused me some major headaches and I made conscious decisions to change the project – many times in fact. “Can we remove this wall? Can I have this over here? Can you add this? Can you move the door? Can you redo all the trim and add crown moulding? Can we re-floor the entire house instead, and the stairs? Look at this is, is this going to be a problem?” I was probably the client every contractor abhors! However, every time I was met with – “we can do that for you.” The tradesmen even had a philosophy that impressed me - “there are no problems, only solutions.”
In the end, I have the most amazing new home! I do, without reservation, overwhelmingly recommend Kitchen & Bath Inc. to do any sized renovation. I have been thoroughly impressed and six weeks later, I have had only very minor issues that were very quickly resolved. I urge you to drop by their showroom and speak with their very knowledgeable staff – you will not regret the decision. My two girls would like to thank you for their new bedrooms, and me for my dream kitchen! We would like extend our sincere thanks to Hamid, Michelle and the rest of the staff at Kitchen & Bath Inc., for a job well done!
Congratulations!

Bathroom Renovations

We had both bathrooms renovated at the same time and chose Kitchen & Bath and weren't disappointed. From the first time we met with the team and Michelle they made us feel at home and answered all of our questions. There was never any surprises during the renovations since they were always waiting to get approval from either myself or my husband before deviating from the plan. The whole crew spent quite a few weeks in our house and were very respectful and pleasant. I will definitely recommend them to anyone that is thinking of renovating with free hassles. Thank you to the whole team we are enjoying our new Master suite and the second bathroom.
