GTA Kitchen and Bath Depot

I recently had the misfortune of hiring GTA Kitchens for a small kitchen reno in Janaury of 2024. What started off as something that would be simple to execute turned out into a series of disappointments and frustrations that left us with regretting ever undertaking the project.

After the initial consult and design, communication became sporadic, with promises of installation routinely broken. When installation did begin that is when things went worse. The supposed professionals at GTA Kitchen lacked necessary skills and attention to detail to execute this simple reno properly. Cabinets were installed crookedly, every door and piece of hard rock maple is damaged in one way or another, gables uneven, drawers are not able to open, with one that doesn't close. Because of the delay in the cabinets being ready, my countertop was installed before doors, that when they came to install the gables and doors, they went ahead, without any thought to inquire with us, and notched out gables around the quartz. In the picture you will see how terrible this looks, there is no fix for this poor quality of work .

On the final day of the supposed install, I came home to all of the above, including missing pantry doors, unfinished crown moulding , unfinished spice cabinet, kick plates that move, damage to new floors, a spice drawer that would not have hinges, was installed with hinge holes in it, as well as all their garbage materials left on the driveway. When I voiced my concerns with Leo, he was dismissive and unapologetic. He had the audacity to demand payment for a job that was FAR from satisfactory before he would do anything about to replace all the damaged materials. There was no regard for the stress and inconvenience the unfinished install had caused. Due to previous delays, and all the days they did not show up as planned, the subpar quality of this company's workmanship, I had zero confidence that I would see this company again. Which is why i asked that he replace and finish the kitchen at which time I would pay him in full right there and then, as we would be home to see this completed. That was in March, and we have since to see GTA Kitchens attempt to repair the shoddy job they did. This has caused significant stress, as to this date our kitchen is not completely functional. I have had 2 kitchen contractors come to see if they will repair the damages, and finish the reno, but both have declined to "fix this mess".
This company's incompetence and lack of regard for quality and customer satisfaction has left with me a kitchen that was poorly installed, that no one wants to repair...my advice would be to shop around before hiring this place.
