We were refreshing our porch (including cutting off scrolls from wrought iron railings) and repainting the railings. A couple of the railings were badly rusted through at the base (where they were attached to a metal base plate). Also one of the vertical pickets had a break in it. I found Morgan's Metal on the internet; they offered mobile welding. Talked to the owner who said (after looking at pictures) that they had done a similar successful repair job. They were very busy but he was willing to fit me in between other work. The welder came to our house a week later and fixed the problem on the spot (about a 90-minute job). He was very pleasant and offered to cut off some small scrolls for me on a wall hanging. Very happy with the work - you can't even tell where the joins are and looks like the original railings. Both owner and employee were very professional and courteous, and great to deal with.
