I had Rivercroft come out for a diagnostic and paid for the service and was happy with it. I got a quote for the parts and labour and wanted more information on this. I text and called them and they were not responsive and was not transparent on the fees. As a customer, it's within my rights to understand the associated costs but Rivercroft didnt want to deal with my inquiries. When I decided to proceed with the quote, they asked for full payment and I suggested 50% deposit since the parts need to be ordered and installation services hasnt been rendered yet. At this request, they came back and fired me as a customer all because I was asking questions.

Hi Peony, we came out and diagnosed the issue and explained to you over and over again what the issue was and we would get back to you with a price once we know the part cost. Once you were told the price you again needed an explanation on what the issue was and we explained it again and again. Every time you called we answered the phone and explained to you what needed to be done over and over again.
It's ok to ask a as many questions as you need so you can understand what is being done, but I'm not sure how much more we could have expanded what was being done after 10x as it was just a damper..
In the end we felt it best for you to find another HVAC contractor.
