Yardtopia Landscapes

Yardtopia did both a back and front yard renovation for us. In the backyard they installed interlock patio and walkway, turf, and all landscaping. In the front yard they installed the interlock walkway and all landscaping. Steven was great to work with, he was honest, reliable, and work was done quickly. Yardtopia did an excellent job, no corners were cut and there was no shifting in the stone and everything remained in great shape. We received many compliments from the neighbours, some of the neighbours even used Yardtopia to do work for them.
Unfortunately two years after the work was completed there was a major house fire that started in our neighbours and carried into our property. All work was destroyed and needed to be redone.
We were so happy with the work that Steven did that we insisted with the insurance adjuster to use him again. Overall we were thrilled with the quality of work, professionalism and honesty. Would highly recommend Yardtopia for any job.

Our family had multiple issues with another contractor(Not Yardtopia) we were stuck with a pool with no equipment(heater, pump, etc)and a pool full of water. Steve within 3 days of contact had our pool ready to go with the necessary equipment. Recommended a great electrician and we were swimming in 5 days. Any issues or advice Ive needed he has answered within 24 hours time. I cant say thank you enough. After dealing with our previous contractor it is nice to see there are still contractors who will go out of their way to make things right and stand by their work.

Steve and his crew did my pool from scratch. Usually I was scared to deal with contractors who will take money from me and not finish my job.

But Steve stuck to his words and did an amazing job and I found pool guy who will build all my family pools.

Steve and the crew were amazing from start to finish. They were very professional and kind through the whole process. Steve was always available for to answer any questions we had through the build. Anyone considering Yardtopia needs to run AWAY!

The owners name is Steve. His quality of his work is Terrible, Zero attention to detail, massively disorganized, ignores you for days/weeks, makes false promises related to pricing, and has no idea how to install pools which will put your long-term investment at risk.

He roped the homeowner in with a competitive price but then inflated costs by thousands more out of you with exaggerated issues and charges. (Classic Bait and Switch)

Steve failed to obtaining a permit which he misled about. He didn't follow bylaw specs for the pool install which countered the design plan he had to provide.

When asked to fix the deficiencies he super got aggressive and threatened to quit unless he got more money and refused to fix anything only blaming other people but never taking ownership.

He made up phantom charges then refuses to turn over material/equipment you have fully paid for until you meet his demands.

Steve had to be banned from the property which cost the homeowner 95k in losses.

This post is a warning as its essential we protect each other, so this does not happen again.
