Our 80-year-old East Van bungalow had a mish-mash of wiring: some original, some from two different renovations 20 years apart, and some DIY done by ourselves and previous owners. We decided it was time to have things brought up to code and chose Stapleton Electric because of their excellent HomeStars ratings. Derek's initial quote was for one day, but he was very straightforward to let us know that more time would be needed, but they could only tell how much time once they'd had a chance to do a complete survey. As it turned out it took four days, but some of that time was for things we didn't initially intend to do (e.g., outside motion sensor lighting), but added when we saw the quality of the work. Gino and Vinnie, the two electricians on our job, were right on time day 1, arrived at the door wearing Covid masks, and immediately asked if we'd like them to remove their shoes, which we appreciated because we've recently had all our hardwood floors refinished. We also appreciated that they did a thorough cleanup each day before the left. We couldn't be happier with the job - good people all around.

Crystal was so helpful in the planning stages - she sent lots of photos of possible solutions to our dingy laundry room lighting and to a dark and cramped walk in closet. When the guys showed up, they had all the supplies and fixtures they figured they would need - so all the work was done immediately! In the end, we made some changes to the original plan and they were most accommodating and managed to do a much more complicated job than we had originally planned. The work looks great, the rooms are bright and we LOVE the motion detector on the laundry light - now when we walk in with armfuls of laundry the light just flips right on. GENIUS solution. Thanks everyone - I've already told some friends!
