SOS Locksmith

THE REAL OWNER OF SOS LOCKSMITH contacted me and started that this company is giving his business a BAD NAME. THEY ARE FRAUDULENTLY USING THE NAME of a legitimate company!!!! Their real name is CHECK POINT SECURITY or CHECK POINT DOOR AND LOCK service.

They are not transparent with their pricing. $15 for the call was fine, and then I was quoted $189 by the TECHNICIAN for the service to unlock my sons Silver Acura 3.2 TL 2001 I gave him my credit card and there were additional fees which HE DID NOT DISCLOSE AT THE TIME! He failed to state: WE ARE CHARGING $189 PLUS PLUS to your card!

I checked this morning and it cost me $246.00. The end costs were as follows: $189 (vehicle unlock) + $29 (not $15 service fee) & taxes (13%)! I called and spoke to JOHNNY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE and he admitted I was overcharged by the TECHNICIAN and is supposed to send back the difference of the SERVICE FEE. MAKE SURE THEY ARE ENTIRELY CLEAR AND TRANSPARENT ON THE END COSTS. Otherwise BUYER BEWARE!!

When I asked how much it would cost the representative could not give me a rough idea? ( I thought it was strange because a few years ago I called a company and they provided me with a price range. I wish I had the company name.) It was an emergency so I told the representative to dispatch a locksmith.
Big mistake: the locksmith did arrive in 45 minutes. He charged $300 not a problem but in the process of opening the door he destroyed my door trim and lock. He did not apologize, he said it was like that before he arrived?? which it was not!!
The locksmith and the company he works for is the worst!! I do not have the strength to destroy a door trim and lock. The company refused to repair the damage they caused!! Never use this company!! Horrible service!! I called the dispatcher and explained my concern. They never called me back!!

PLEASE CALL ANOTHER COMPANY!!!

I called this company to open a front door with stuck deadbolt. The representative seemed inexperienced. He could not figure out whether the issue was the latch or the bolt, even when advised. Before he had identified the issue he had already told the next customer that he would be 30-45 mins (he took much longer). He refused to give a quote, saying that he just wanted to get the door open. Without consent he destroyed my lock, and then tried to sell me an over priced replacement. I will never trust or use this company again.

I called the company and explained my concern ask to speak to a manager they never provided me with the information? I called again left a message.They never called me back!!

I am going to report this company to the BBB

Friendly service but it cost me over $400 to open my car door that took less than 10 mins to open.
I get I was in a bit of a bind but this was excessive.

Website pricing is misleading.

I was quoted $100 over the phone and upon arrival they stated $500. I insisted on the quote. They called their ‘boss’ for confirmation and unlocked the door. It took them 30 seconds. Unreal.

Worst day ever, I locked my keys in my car plus my purse and phone. I asked sos to come they quoted me fifteen for the service call and thirty five and up depending on the difficulty of the job. The guy used the balloon to open the top of my window and flipped my lock, it took him 10 seconds literally and they charged me a whopping $180!!!!!!! they give false quotes, save your money and go with a reputable business. they wont even provide a manager to speak with and blocked my calls

My wife came home after dropping off my son at school and our front entry door would not open. She called several local lock smiths who either said they would send one later or couldnt help. Fed up of waiting hours she called SOS locksmith and they arrived in 20 min as they had told her on the phone. Locksmith diagnosed the problem and gave an estimate on the spot for the work. Lock was drilled out and new handleset was installed cleanly. Locksmith was very polite and helpful. Would recommend
