Current rate: $105 per hour for 2 movers.
I have used the services of Gold Star Movers five times over the past 5 years. In June 2018, I used them to unload a U-Haul truck filled with my daughter's belongings into our Toronto house when she returned home from attending university in the U.S. A few months later I hired Gold Star again to load her stuff into a U-Haul, doing a great job of loading, and unloaded into her 2nd floor walk-up apartment later the same day.

Last week our daughter was moving out of her Toronto apartment and when we booked the U-Haul a few weeks earlier I was thrilled to see that Gold Star was still on the U-Haul "Moving Help" list. I did not hesitate to book them again to load her Toronto apartment contents, which would include more furniture and fragile items than the previous moves. When I could not find a local company to unload in Guelph, her destination, I inquired with Gold Star as to whether they might be able to handle that job, as well, and they did not hesitate to help us out. Gold Star's crew on the move out, Roberto and Ivo, did a fabulous job of loading the 15' truck on a Thursday afternoon, using every useable inch of space, in almost no time at all. The next morning in Guelph, Ivo arrived with Kristiyan before the designated time of 8:30 am, and unloaded beautifully. We were able to return the U-Haul to its Guelph drop-off location well before its 24-hour rental limit.

In all these moves loading and unloading U-Haul trucks, nothing has ever been broken by the Gold Star crews and service has always been exemplary. The crew members have been extremely polite and eager to please and have never griped about excessive numbers of stairs within apartment buildings and inside units. I would not hesitate to use Gold Star Movers again and to highly recommend their services.

Gold Star Movers were fantastic - truly gold star. The movers showed up early, were very quick to help, and were incredibly efficient. They moved a 1-bedroom apartment's worth of things out of the truck and into a new apartment in about 1 hour, and that's with several sets of stairs! They were so friendly and careful with my things. 10/10, highly recommend!

Gold star movers are the best in GTA if you are planning to move. This was my second time with them as my movers and I was very glad by their service.They are extremely punctual, hard working and swift. They always make things happen quicker than you will estimate. I have nothing, but respect for these guys. So dont hesitate to hire them when your next move is coming up. Their prices are very reasonable and value for money. They did the loading, drove to the unloading address and finished unloading in less than 3 hours.

Gold Star movers recently helped me to move out of my apartment and loaded the UHaul very quickly and effectively. Despite having some breakable pieces and plants, nothing was damaged during the journey.

Reliable, professional, careful, hard working, polite and cost was very competitive. Hired Goldsstar through uHaul as I wanted to be in control of my move in terms of a 26' truck, timing and packing/ unpacking. Local move Oakville/ Burlington and the guys at Goldstar got me moved in under the time alotted at $1,000 less than a full moving company (truck+men) and did it one hour less than time than alotted.
I have moved across the country a few times on corporate transfers and so have multiple experiences with moving. In the end you pretty much have to do a lot to organize and handle, even if you hire packers. Goldstar are the only moving company I would recommend. They looked after our family and belongings like they were their own. Shop it around but you will find these guys do a great job for a fair price and above all can be trusted with your stuff and the logistics.
