We contacted several home builders to provide quotes for a complete renovation of all floors and finished basement of our 3000 sq foot house. We had some ideas of major changes (e.g. addition over garage) and also welcomed ideas from various builders. Strategic Homes Group was by far the most open to our suggestions, never said "it can't be done" and was honest in providing advice for things which would not add value or could cause issues in the future. Unlike other builders, you deal directly with the owner of Strategic Homes Group and they constantly communicate where there might be changes to the original estimate and work tirelessly going back and forth with architects and engineers to make your vision happen. We wanted a major change to the front elevation Raj spent many hours with us and the architect working behind the scenes until we were satisfied with the final design. We had many builders and contractors tell us that the ideas we were suggesting couldn't be done. Strategic Homes Group is now building the changes we requested without complaining.
While we are two months in the design and early construction, we have been very impressed with their attention to detail, constant transparency about the progress, and professional interaction with our family. Taking a 30-year-old house and doing a major renovation to modernize it and change structural walls, roof trusses, and masonry could cause other builders to panic or significantly increase costs but Strategic Homes Group has been great and fair thus far! You should not hesitate to give Raj a call to discuss your home renovation/full tear down and rebuild vision.
