Our intended renovation was to convert the second floor of a 1984 Vancouver special to an open floor plan and add a new bathroom in the master bedroom. However, we ended up with new insulation, wiring, plumbing, drywall, new flooring throughout, new windows, central air conditioning, a brand new kitchen and bathrooms. We met with several other contractors before choosing Azara Homes. We were impressed with Amar's ability to listen to our ideas, understand our needs, and provide insightful feedback. Demolition started right on schedule and the trades guys worked hard throughout the project. There was very little downtime and the site was always clean and organized. I was most impressed with the addition of the hydronic heating in the floor and the glass railing at the staircase, for which we had to remove a load bearing wall. I would never have thought this would be possible in the renovation project I had imagined. In fact, I would say it feels more like we live in a brand new home rather than a renovated one.
