Just Cedar - Fences and Decks

I Contacted a number of fence builders but from the get go, Julien was engaging and was far more interested in hearing about my ideas and concerns as well as offering ideas and practical solutions. Throughout the project, I was kept in the loop of any bumps in the road and we were able to deal with them together. When it came time to stain the fence, Julien worked with us to come up with a colour that suited our design sense. He is a very diligent hard worker and we are thrilled with our fence. If there was one concern, it was that the job did take alittle longer than we had hoped as he had to take time to answer questions oversee some of his other jobs . Overall though, great work and great bang for the buck. Id definitely work with Just Cedar again!

Julian and Teo did our backyard deck and were amazing to work with - I highly recommend them and you truly can do no wrong by having them take on any exterior wood working project. Not only are they incredibly talented but super responsive and collaborative, offering up great suggestions and guidance to help you achieve your vision, but they do it all in a timely fashion and within your budget. Do yourself a favour and hire them, you wont regret it! They are both lovely and incredibly talented humans!

The staff at Just Cedar were excellent. Frequent communication, and a very clear plan for project completion. We have a rooftop deck which meant they had to come through the house, they were courteous and clean moving through the space. The work itself was done carefully with an eye for detail.

Wooden fence replacement shared by three neighbours. Julian, Teo and Artsem did and amazing job on the project. The build quality is very good, including an amazing custom made gate. They were also very skilled at juggling the requirements from three different home owners.

Julian and his workers had a rainy spring to work around but built a new solid gate, repaired an old gate, sanded and stained an existing deck. I am very pleased with the results, team was polite, communicated well about the tasks and timeline. They cleaned up, no problems. I had waited many years to get this job done as I could not find a contractor,Julian to the rescue! I am so happy to get these jobs done with such meticulous workers. Bravo to young hardworking guys!

We had Julian (Just Cedar) replace a side yard/flank fence with two gates. He did an excellent job and worked well with other contractors who were involved with tree planting, etc. He uses top quality Western cedar and does a great job on finishing and staining. We would highly recommend him to anyone wanting a cedar project done.

Renovation of our rooftop deck previously built by the same company. The result is a deck that looks like new and all this in a record amount of time. The job was well planned and meticulously performed, paying attention to detail and making sure the work is solid. The team was very friendly and communication was very easy. We hired Julian from Just Cedar after submitting an RFQ to at least 6 other contractors for our company's fence replacement project. Julian was very detailed in the scope of work, and came on site multiple times to asses the work that needed to be done.

He provided a quote and stuck to the price, even offering a competitive upgrade price for staining the cedar. He won the bid based on a number of factors including his commitment, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

Julian always arrived at the project site on time, with all necessary equipment and helpers. He stuck to the project schedule and we went from an old broken fence to a new fully stained cedar fence with new concrete and new posts in just about 1 business week. He thoroughly involved me in the decision making process and made sure I was happy with the end product.

The horizontal board fence design looks very aesthetically pleasing. I would not hesitate to hire him again for one of our other project sites!

Julian is a master craftsman and an very impressive carpenter. I had my own design for a gate that I found online. Julian was able to design and build the gate/fence even better than the online design.

Im beyond ecstatic with our new gate/fence and the stain colour suggested by Julian makes the gate/fence look so rich.

Julian is so wonderful to deal with too and a such great eye for deal. Hes on time, polite, has great ideas and just gets the job done.
