Electric Genie

We recently moved into our fixer upper home and hired Electric Genie to do a list of electrician tasks that included installing a Nest thermostat and doorbell, installing several light fixtures, fixing an electrical outlet, upgrading/installing light switches and a few other similar tasks. They did a great job with no supervision. I appreciated how organized they were and the attention to detail. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs an electrician.

Replaced old light fixtures with new pot lights in the basement.
Guys were prompt, courteous and professional.
Wore PPE masks at all times.

I found Electric Genie based on the recommendation from a local Facebook group and they did not disappoint! We started with a virtual electrical inspection from a link on their website where the electrician on call had me walk through the issue (some burnt out sockets due to poor work from a previous contractor who built our kitchen). A electrician was dispatched the next day who arrived on time, in all appropriate PPE and completed the service exactly as specified on our call. I appreciate the good communication and the followthrough. Thank you.

I rarely write reviews but I had to for this company. I've had Luciano and his team at Electric Genie do several jobs for us over the years and each time his team has been professional, knowledgeable, flexible, honest, transparent, diligent and pleasant to work with. They informed me of all the various regulations that I need to be aware of as well as detailed steps of each task they're going to perform, in the last case, being the rewiring of several rooms in the house and adding new smoke detectors and power outlets.

In each case, Electric Genie's team went above and beyond, even informing me of my most cost-effective options (even when they would personally make less money) and walking me through some of the electrical issues in the house that the previous builder had missed, including some issues with our electrical panels. The work was done quickly, quietly (appreciated as we have a young baby that was sleeping at the time), cost-effectively and very clean (they made sure to clean up each work area after themselves). I also respect that they social distanced and wore appropriate PPE.

I couldn't recommend Luciano and Electric Genie more for anyone who is looking for a trusted, top-notch electrician. They are definitely worth every penny and more.

Luciano arrived at the specified time, assessed the work, provided a quote which I approved and then began work immediately. My wife and I were very impressed with the attention to detail, quality of the work and the fairness in the pricing.

He hung up a very complicated chandelier in the hallway foyer and a smaller chandelier in the dining room. He repaired several burned out sockets and also explained the issues associated with the kitchen build from the previous builder as well as provided recommendations on how to prevent any electrical issues in the future.

He also provided his personal cell phone in case any more issues were to arise, which we appreciated. We’ve already referred Electric Genie to several of our neighbours and friends, and highly recommend this company of master electricians!

Eclectic Genie added extra outlets for us. One was in the garage, one out back, and one for our den. Friendly service and quick response time. Will definitely hire again if we need more work.
