Do not hire Shane B, owner of Castlebury Contracting located in Barrie, Ontario, for any home renovations. We hired him to complete a small ensuite bathroom renovation.
Shane left halfway through completing the job and left with our money. We diligently checked his references, which we now know were his friends, as we discovered he is incapable of any of them. All communication stopped once the drywall was in place, and we had to hire (6 months later) another contractor to fix and finish the job.
Tradespeople showed up on our doorstep, claiming they were never paid by Shane and refused to come back.
Do not, under any circumstances, hire Shane B, Castlebury Contracting.
