For those who read this, keep in mind that I was quite reasonable with the company throughout the entire process and understood that they have steps to go through. Where do I start? - they made false claims they were able to provide services in disassembling, transporting and reassembling Murphy beds, which was my conditions for proceeding with them, even though I had submitted a link to the actual bed online for their preparation of the move before the contract was agreed to. - they arrived with only a small pouch with a set of hand tools and no drills although they had prior notice they were disassembling the Murphy bed which requires drills and wrenches, resulting in the movers having to borrow my drills and wrenches. They took one of my wrenches upon leaving. - the company did not send assistance upon receiving info from me earlier in the day that the movers were not able to disassemble the Murphy bed and had damaged it, demonstrating a lack of experience (around 10:51am). - the company charged me $250 for the Murphy bed fee, but did not install the bed.
-the company also charged me an additional hour over the in-person agreed-upon amount to get them out of my house, even though they damaged by bed, walls in my home and furniture. The house was recently renovated. The bed alone costs approximately over $6K - they sent me an invoice after the agreed-upon payment showing I still owe them money, even though we settled on the amount of $2081.00 total including taxes with them on that day. They also took my deposit of a $113.00 and did not deduct this from the amount paid. -they instructed their workers to not leave the premises until payment was collected, which they were requesting more than the originally amount due to the amount of man hours trying to put together the Murphy bed. They used my time, as the client, to pay people to learn on the job. -they (Amid I believe his name was) admitted there was a scheduling error and the wrong crew was sent to my home which did not have experience in dealing with the Murphy bed.
-they sent 2 other crew members to assist with the move around 7:30pm who also did not have the experience to install the Murphy bed. -they did not deliver on their service that they provide reassembling services, as the rest of the furniture in my home was reassembled by me and my family while the 5 movers focused on installing the bed (for 8 hours straight).- they did not reassemble my laundry pair machines. As a result, I had to call someone else to come and assemble this.-they, knowingly forced their employees to stay on premises until payment was collected even though they did not deliver on their service and the way the employees were treated was inhumane as they did not eat or go to a bathroom all day, even though we tried to offer to them. (from 8am to 10:13pm with no food or breaks) - when I put through the claim (as per their process) they deemed all my damages worth $300 bucks and denied accountability for any of the above and gave me a refund of a measly $109.00.
- at one point they blocked my number and forwarded me to voicemail and I know this because I called from another phone right after which went through to the office.
-At some point halfway through the day, one of the movers went to hide in the truck for the rest of the night and we could see in his expression that he was disappointed in everything that was going on. I had 10 friends and family members at my house that night who watched all of this go down. They are terrible and I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. Dont believe their insurance as they do not cover property damage even though they said this to me upon signing.
