Assured Basements

We decided to finish our basement as we needed more space in the home. Did a lot of research and had a lot of quotes but Assured made us feel comfortable from the beginning. We knew that if we were going to go through with this investment, we would need to do it right. This meant a reputable company that would do everything right and professionally.

From the initial meeting (Mike) to the 2nd meeting with Andrej and Ryan to map out the layout, Assured was professional. They use a app called buildertrend which organizes the schedule and is basically used for every aspect of the project. Met Ahmed (project manager) who was on-site often for the first 2 weeks and ensured the initial framing, electrical, HVAC were done right and on time. There were some small delays towards the end of the project but they were still able to complete it in 5-6 weeks. Every member of the team was professional, and cleaned up after themselves almost every day.

Once the project was completed, Assured made sure we were happy. There were some small post-construction fixes that were required and they came back, no issues, to fix them. They also come with a workmanship guarantee, ESA qualification (was very important to us), and mould protection guarantee.

TIP: like any large project, make sure the layout and materials are exactly what you want from the beginning and prior to signing the final contract, as any changes do cost money.
