I hired Deans Pride Painting to paint my new business location. I had 4 quotes, they were not the cheapest. He made me feel like he would do a meticulous job, he made many promises from removing the hardware on the doors to fixing the nail holes and imperfections in the walls, to the trim and more. Was supposed to use a specific grade of paint and the result was not at all as promised. For a job that was supposed to take 3-4 days, 10 days later I was left with this:
-one coat of paint and no primer in most places…primed and two coats was quoted. The old colour was showing through.
-They didn't prime doors so now the paint is peeling off
-They did not remove the handles.. in fact they left the tape on them and failed to hang the doors at all
-They oversprayed every door handle, my new open sign and the phone, not to mention how much is on the glass and floor
-trim facing was painted but not Sider of the trim
-There was wall colour all over the trim
-colour showing through new colour bc wasn't primed or two coats
-many wall imperfections were not fixed including simple nail holes
-the hinges were removed from the doors and thrown on top of the switch covers... breaking many of the switch covers
-the entrance wasn't painted at all
-the reception desk is sticky feeling bc no top clear coat applied
-There is paint in the drain of the brand new laundry sink installed
-An inferior grade of paint was used
-Walls we’re not sanded
-Some areas not painted at all
Overall it was a very unprofessional and messy job. I definitely do not recommend them to anyone needing a finished job. I was really disappointed with the final result. I held back $1400 of the $4200 quoted and ended up having to pay another painter $3100 to fix the mess I was left with.
Don’t waste your time or money on this company!!
