I had my eaves inspected and downspouts replaced in April 2024 by SMA Exteriors. At that time the guys doing the repair told me that my roof was in good shape. I was pleased with the work that they did.

In July I had a roof leak on my chimney. three workers spent what seemed like a few hours putting calking around the pipe, costing me $240. In August, when it rained, the repair they did still leaked. They came back and replaced the raincap and sealed the upper vent. costing an additional $200.

In September we had a torrential rain and wind storm, I had another leak on a bathroom vent. When the guy from SMA (Constantin)came to look at the vent he told me that my roof was in terrible shape and told me that my downspouts were terrible and needed to be replaced. I found this to be disappointing as it was just April that SMA did my downspouts and I was told that my roof was good . I told Konstantin, the guy who said how bad my downspouts were, that it was SMA who did downspouts in April. I had another inspection done by another company and I was told my roof would be good for another 8 - 10 years.

I felt that I could trust SMA as we used them for a large repair job in a condo complex. I am disappointed that they criticized their own work and told me how bad the job was done that they did. I have lost my trust and faith in this company. I feel disappointed and wonder if I have been been taken advantage of and now question the costs and the repair that were done.

Alex went above and beyond following up on our project (we had delays due to landscaping installation). Our project was relatively simple and small with some repairs and new downspouts but we felt prioritized. They provided a unique solution for one area and executed it well. We would definitely recommend SMA.
