We hired Bekka Reno in May 2023 to refinish our stairs. Unfortunately the workmanship was very poor and we had to hire another contractor to redo the entire job.
The stairs came out EXTREMELY blotchy and uneven. I brought up my concerns with Ali and he kept saying there would be touch ups before applying the finish. I did not notice any improvement and Ali kept making excuses.
There were many other issues with the stairs including: black debris/hair stuck in the finish, stain on the walls, scratched balusters, visible pencil marks and glue. A mess of sawdust was left in the garage. He also charged us an exorbitant amount of $235 for one additional post and "hardware" ($3 screw).
When asked for a refund, Ali refused and said the most he could do were touch-ups and that it is part of the trade. He also complained that the price he charged us barely covers the work we did for you at $3800. It has now been months and he has not bothered to reply to our emails or followed up for the supposed touch-ups.
I would strongly caution anyone considering this company.
