Dryer Repair

Adel responded very quickly when I needed my dyer repaired because it was making a loud noise. He inspected my dryer and removed the hinderance that was causing the noise. However, he charged $219 + HST for inspection and labour, all of which took less than 10 minutes. I think $219 is unreasonably high for removing a sock that was stuck, which again only took a few minutes. Definitely wont be a return customer.

Thank you for your feedback. Let me explain the situation.
1. The fee amount was discussed well in advance and you have agreed with it before my visit.
2. The fee is competitive as you have called me several days later to schedule the appointment and selected my company over others. Furthermore, I have given you discounted fee (regular 249.99 plus tax)
3. This is not an inspection but a repair as your dryer did not work before my visit and worked after it.
4. There is always a flat fee on our business as hourly method is inappropriate. Technicians can simply take 2-3 hours to compete a simple job that takes 5-10 minutes and triple charge the customer. That is why the fees are discussed in advance.
5. There are many other factors that are built in the fees. To keep you happy as my customer i try my very best to complete the job either on the spot or the same day. That is why I studied the schematics in advance, went to supplier shop and purchased the parts that could potentially cause the problem (40 minutes driving). To reach you yesterday I spent 1 hour 10 minutes on the road (I called you in advance to let you know my arrival time). To reach back I spent another 49 minutes.
6. If you were not happy with the costs why wouldn't you tell me on the spot?
7. I don't make my living by overcharging my valued customers. If you are not happy with my services, please text me your email for e-transfer. I will give you a full refund.
8. I believe that even if you are not happy with the cost I do not deserve one star rating.
