I was quoted ~$650 for an estimated four hours of work for two people to remove metal/wood shelves, hang paintings and mirrors, and install a light fixture. The team completed the work in 2.5 hours but I was still charged the full cost. This is particularly annoying as the original estimate was for $1,200 and so I removed scope of work to get the project costs more in line with my budget. In retrospect, I could have had the full scope of work completed in the 4 hour estimate.

I followed up with the management team and was informed that they don't charge per hour only per project unless it benefits Calgary Handyman (i.e., only charge a set hourly rate if they go over the time they think it will take to complete a project not if they complete it more quickly). This was the case even though they gave me an estimated time of 4 hours for two people.

Bottom line: while I am happy with the quality of work and the friendliness of the team, I was drastically over charged (nearly double) . I won't be using this service again and suggest that if you do you negotiate aggressively up front.

Cesar went out of his way to make certain our attic was ready for new insulation. He contacted our HOME INSPECTOR on his own to make certain he understood what needed to be done. He came prepared and worked efficiently so the job was completed in what I considered record time.

Cesar was on time and helped me with another last minute project. Amazing service. He did a thermostat and mount for my vacuum.

Cesar is extremely reliable, and we are MORE than satisfied with all tasks that he completed in our house. He fixed a shower door and downstairs sink, securely affixed a boot rack, hung some wire frames in my daughters room, and generally made use of every minute that he was here. He is our new favourite handyman, and we have him on speed dial. We would highly recommend Cesars services. If you cant do it, Cesar can!
