Kitchen and Partial Dining Room Renovation

After Leo's company renovated our old gross bathroom, which now is more beautiful than any bathroom in hotel rooms where I've ever stayed, we moved onto our old gross melamine 80's cluttered kitchen (first 4 photos). I was hesitant to start due to the inconvenience and effort needed but Leo assured me & my wife that it would be worth the pain. HE WAS SPOT ON! As with the bathroom project, his team was exceptionally skilled, efficient and friendly and made the project much less painful than it might have been. They gave great advice and suggestions. The first words that come to mind are CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, FRIENDLY, PRECISION WORKMANSHIP! I had done the old cabinet removal and most of the demolition myself to save some cost. Leo's team removed a small D/R window and replaced it with a bright large triple-paned one that looks out onto our backyard and brightens up the whole space. Off to a great start and just got better & better. Next, removal of a load-bearing wall to open up the space into the D/R, adding more support above and below before doing so, which was severely lacking. Next, moving over a kitchen entryway a few inches to accommodate a food pantry. They did water-damaged ceiling repair and replaced a popcorn D/R ceiling to modernize the look. All the carpentry, drywalling & mudding was professional, level and precise to spec. Our old plumbing material was modernized and a new water line installed along the basement ceiling to feed a new ice-making fridge that sits on a wall opposite from the sink. For all feeds - hot, cold, freezer and dishwasher- they installed convenient shutoff valves. His electrician adeptly installed new outlets and rocker switches (dimmer & regular) and moved the stove outlet from one wall to another. 7 potlights and strip lighting were installed. Priming and painting was done in a couple of days. Leo's team ripped out our old ceramic flooring down to the floor boards in a day - at least 6 layers of different materials from over the years! Thick plywood was added over sparse joists for more support and to connect seamlessly with the D/R floor. Solid, no more creaks! Next day the new vinyl flooring was skillfully installed from kitchen to D/R. Leo highly recommended vinyl and we are happy to have heeded! Very easy to clean and maintain and looks just like wood. Scratch-resistant. They installed and leveled the dishwasher, faucet, fridge, stove and cut a hole to the exterior for range hood fan. His team was so efficient with all of the above that the cabinets were able to be installed 2 weeks earlier than anticipated! Immediately following cabinet installation, his team was back to finish up the aesthetic features - 2nd paint coat, baseboards, window & door trim and light fixtures and installed range hood fan. DONE! With any aspect that was tricky, Leo was there to come up with an ingenious solution. As per bathroom reno, every part of the job EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS. We are so grateful for his experience! Leo, himself, as busy as he is, came back at the end to caulk the backsplash we had done ourselves, FREE OF CHARGE! Let me tell you, your buck goes a long long way with this contractor who aims to please! You won't be sorry for choosing this company!
