What a nightmare it has been working with this company. Leaving a review in hopes it well help others so they do not have the same experience.
First and foremost, the company took off one day and never came back. Project was left unfinished and garbage, wood scraps, materials were left all over our backyard.
Project was to build 2 decks, one with a railing, both with stairs, a wooden wall around our garden and to move our shed.
Stairs were built completely wrong. Stringer put on backwards and upside down. Steps were not equal and spacing was completely off. The bottom step was not even the width of my foot. No stair railing, which we have since learned we need due to the height of our deck. Stairs unuseable. I have added a picture.
Back deck was built on a hill and they did not dig the deck blocks down at all to prevent sinking during the winter months. They're just sitting ontop of the grass (some deck blocks sitting on top of a piece of wood on the grass).

Overall quality of work poor. Boards to close in deck only secured at top, so they wobble and move and are uneven. Outside frame of deck left raw. Did not plan out proper spacing so some spots the board is cut in half unevenly to fill in weird gaps they left. Many mistakes made with cutting boards, that we were then charged for the extra materials when they had to buy more.
Requested (and written in contract) that they would lay weed cloth under both decks. Request ignored and I was dismissed when I asked about it.
Customer service started out very friendly, but as we voiced some of our concerns, we were told we were very difficult. Made us really uncomfortable to even approach them to clarify anything.
Due to all of the errors made throughout, it just made us not trust the work, feeling like we had to constantly check that they were doing it as requested/properly. Made for a very stressful couple of weeks. So important to be able to trust your contractors. Highly recommend moving on and finding a different company to work with.

Thank you for taking the time to review. We apologize that your experience did not meet the level of quality standards we strive to achieve. Our customers satisfaction is of utmost importance to us.
After multiple changes to the scope of the project and many opportunities to collaborate effectively, our proprietors deemed the job to be an unsafe working environment and decided with the customer to end the contract. We did not just not return one day. We must advise that many options were offered to settle the job on amicable terms and in the end offered a substantial discount for the customer’s dissatisfaction.
Please note, many of the pictures posted by the complainant are not of the finalized project but pictures as the deck build was progressing and a lot of those issues in the pictures were rectified before the contract ended.
