Took 3500 and didn't do ANY work
My story is not ONE bad experience - similar complaints about this business exist with the Better Business Bureau and Yelp - please check and read to avoid being in our situation. I signed a contract with Sam in Sept of 2023 to build concrete stairs which were to be done on Oct 16 and 17 of 2023, and Sam took a 75% down payment upfront (~3500). For almost every week following the planned completion date, Sam said the work will "start tomorrow" and in some cases said "it already started". He used weather as an excuse (even though it was dry and sunny for most of Oct/Nov/Dec), and even blamed me for booking late in the season. He did not do any work on the project, and he refused to give back my money. I even met with Sam to explain my difficult financial situation as a recent single mother, and he refused to have empathy for the situation and just kept all my money without doing anything.
