My adventure with Westboro Foundation Repair (WFR) was a great experience. It started with a doorhanger for which I am so grateful. I had just finished interviewing four other companies. I chose WFR over the other four foundation repair companies because it was superior in so many aspects. Their unique and distinct repair and waterproofing process (brushing on a waterproofing solution which is different from using a water-resistant sheet, using quality products, protecting insulation with galvanized steel bars, back filling with stones up to grade). Their respect of the construction code (they were the only company to strongly recommend a backflow preventer). Their expertise. Their theoretical knowledge. Their perceptible trustworthiness. I knew it was a young company but I could see they had all the ingredients for me to give them my trust ... and my money!
It started with Steven and Louis coming for an inspection where I could see their real interest and "love" of repair work. Their keenness was real. I could really feel their willingness and determination of getting the foundation repaired and waterproofed to satisfaction.
Then Steven wrote out a contract that included the work flow and the various steps in detail, and an amazing schematic drawing of the foundation wall waterproofing and protection. I was really impressed with the quality of that contract document.
Steven met with me a number of times always showing patience answering my questions and explaining things. His expertise and ingenuity, his focus on quality, combined with his calmness were very reassuring.
Then the team started the work. Always done as specified in the contract, with a lot of care and attention, not rushing through the process, making sure the foundation repairs were dry before waterproofing and then making sure the waterproofing membrane would cure dry before installing the insulation, as well as keeping things clean and tidy.
The team as a whole is very harmonious and they are all friendly, polite and respectful. It was always a pleasure for me to see them, and talk with them. Also as a francophone, it was great that if needed I could speak French with Steven and Louis.
I was also grateful that they provided me, and installed, additions to eavestroughs out of goodwill.
I can only highly recommend them.
As the saying "to try it is to adopt it" ... I would say "to try them is to adopt them"!
