Modern Appliance

This is at least the fourth time Peter has repaired an appliance for me. He is reliable, honest, highly competent, and reasonably priced. It is always a pleasure to deal with him. This repair took place during the Covid-19 pandemic, and Peter took all recommenced precautions to ensure our mutual protection, once again demonstrating genuine respect for his clients.

Peter was very professional, clear and explained the problem In a language I could understand. I called and they had the part in hand and installed within one week...not easy in this COVID world!

A dishwasher won't start and I called Peter, he mentioned reset and I tried. I am happy to say that I just turn off/on the house's fuse and the dishwasher goes back normal.

Excellent service. Peter was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me advice on how to deal with things in the future and showed me things about my refrigerator that I didn’t know. He was cognizant of trying to repair rather than costly parts replacement. No hesitation to recommend him.

I called Peter last Thursday because I'm having problem with my fridge; the frezeer is working but the fridge is not cold at all; he suggested to check the freezer fan if its working and sure enough it isnt rotating- he suggested if I want I can buy the parts and he provided companies where I can buy them and he said its an easy job and if I want my husband can do it instead of spending xx amount of money. We bought the parts and my husband changed the motor and my fridge now is WORKING !!! Thank you so much Peter; you are a good samaritan !!!

I phoned Peter yesterday on the recommendation of a friend and left a message describing the problem with our refrigerator. He called back within ten minutes and gave me free advice that he thought would correct the problem and save a service call. I followed his advice and our refrigerator is now working perfectly. To say that I'm impressed would be an understatement. He did not know me but helped me when he could have helped him self. There is no doubt who I will always call when service is needed and I will be spreading the word.

My tenants reported a cooling fan error in a Whirlpool oven that I only had for 6 years. I called Modern Appliance for a quote to complete the repair and Peter was very quick to reply to my email and mentioned it was worthwhile replacing the fan instead of buying a new one. We were able to schedule an appointment within a week thankfully during a time like Covid and he came within the time he mentioned also wearing a mask and gloves. It was a smooth transaction that we were able to complete online and it was hassle free for my tenants. I would use this company again if needed.

Modern Appliance repaired an aging refrigerator and installed a new dishwasher (after advising on repair of existing). In both cases Peter provided great advice, efficient and prompt service, and fair pricing.

Our fridge started acting up late last week and was not keeping things cold. We called Peter and he quickly responded with a diagnosis over the phone and a workaround to get us by for a couple of days until he could come for a service call. He came today (holiday Monday), on time, with the part that required replacement and completed the repair.

He is fast, very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this company.
