My washing machine crashed on Thanksgiving Sunday! So I went to HomeStars immediately and left messages with 3 recommended companies, expecting to hear back Monday or Tuesday. Within an hour Peter phoned, asked questions to determine the possible nature of the problem, gave me a confirmed appointment Monday and said he'd bring the parts he might need with him in order to save time and money. He was on time, courteous and diagnosed the likely cause promptly. Unfortunately, it was an electronic problem (computer glitch) which would be an expensive part, not economical for this "old" machine. When I indicated I'd been thinking about replacing the washer/dryer soon, he used what I'll call an "override" to get the machine going again, alerting me that I would have to avoid using the "pause" in the program or the problem would reoccur. Given that replacing the computer would have been very expensive, I am shopping for a new washer/dryer and the current Bosch is working just fine while I deliberate. He also generously shared his experience with the newest lines of washer/dryers from the service perspective, which I found particularly valuable. Peter saved me money and gave me excellent advice. I'll call him with any other appliance repairs I have and recommend him to friends and family. Thanks Peter!
