Peter is an extremely honest, very professional guy. He is someone that I would recommend to my mother and always does a great job. His rates are reasonable and he is very reliable. Great work Peter, I will be using him in the future for sure.

Peter was fantastic to deal with - he was able to squeeze me in on short notice, took time to pre-diagnose on the phone what he suspected might be the cause the problem, contacted me during the repair to tell me what he discovered and even went so far as to provide detailed documented photos of his work.

It's rare that you encounter someone like Peter who is truly a knowledgeable expert. I will without a doubt use Modern Appliance again for any future appliance repairs I require.

Peter called and asked a few questions about the stove and determined what he thought the problem was. He ordered parts and arranged time to come (being flexible with our schedule). The job was done quickly and cleanly and he explained everything.

One phone call does it all.! We've used Modern Appliance before and were always delighted with the work. This time our dryer started acting up, and so we called Peter @ MA. Based on the description of the problem he was able to give a "best guess" over the phone as to the nature of the problem and estimated cost. We made an appointment for him to come in and have a thorough look at the machine. Peter is always cleanly professionally dressed and always arrives within the time window he provides, this time no different! Peter confirmed the problem and the price and fixed everything to be better than new. He also advised of future repair needs that may likely come up based on the model / style dryer we have, parts that are known to predictably fail after X years. We are very happy with the service and quality of work from Modern Appliance. Great work at a fair price.

Peter responded within a few hours of my request on a Friday. Based on my description of the problem, he said he would order a new part, but would only charge for the part if it was the actual cause of the problem. He gave a ball park price that included the part. He phoned on Saturday to say he could come by on the next business day to troubleshoot and repair as required. He arrived within the time window and repaired and tested the dishwasher. The part was required, and the final price was very close to his estimate. I've used Sears repair for years as my appliances were under 'warranty' and had nothing but headaches. This was my first repair outside of the warranties, but it was well worth the cost. I would definitely use them again!

Peter was quick to respond to my initial inquiry about our leaking dishwasher. He was able to then quickly order the part we needed, then schedule service at a time that worked for us, and then showed up when he said he would. He replaced the part quickly, offered some general advice on dishwashers, charged a fair price, was polite and courteous and left the place as tidy as it was when he arrived. Couldn't ask for much more than that. Wouldn't hesitate to use Modern Appliance again!

Our fridge stopped working and had also been leaking water from the freezer. I called Modern Appliance and Peter was very very helpful on the phone to me. He took the time to explain to me my options and had a quick temporary solution to get my cooling back while the needed part was ordered. It was very easy to email him the model and required details. His temporary solution worked as suggested and he was quick to respond to all my emails. When the needed part arrived he was quickly able to fit my job in and arrived on time, charged what he said he would charge, and cleaned everything up after the job. I would highly recommend him.
