Peter was fantastic: on time, very tidy, pricing is fair and was consistent with what he quoted us up front. Especially pleased with the ice maker repair: there were 2 parts that could have been the issue. I has obtained quotes from 2 other service companies - they both quoted on replacing both parts - there was no mention of trying to replace just one. Peter suggested we replace one part only to see if that resolved the problem (which it did); if we found that the icemaker still did not work, he would come back to replace the second part with no additional service call charge. He even followed up that evening via email to see if the ice maker was working. We will call him for all future repairs.

Peter diagnosed the problem over the phone, scheduled the appointment, arrived on time, installed the new element, replaced some missing screws, leveled the stove, after checking it all over. Friendly, courteous, and knowledgable. Highly recommended.

It's actually amazing how much you miss it when your dryer just stops working... especially when it's still below zero outside. When this happened to us right in the middle of the Easter weekend, I wasn't too hopeful that I'd be able to get anyone to come and fix it any time soon. Fortunately, Peter from Modern Appliance returned my message early on the Monday morning and was at my house by 3:00 PM that same day. Peter was friendly, tidy, efficient.. and most importantly he really knew what he was doing. The repair was made quickly... we were back up and running within 30 minutes of his arrival at the house. It's important for homeowners to know a good major appliance repair service... and as of Easter Monday 2016, Peter is our guy. Highly recommended!

Great service!! After calling Sears initially to fix the problem and being told they needed to make a service call first to diagnose and then return a second time with the part, I decided to cancel my Sears appointment which was still several days out and look locally. I filled out an online form late one evening requesting service and at 9am the next morning I got a call. He got me to check a few things while on the phone (does the light work, what do you hear when you turn the stove on on, etc.) and he was immediately able to diagnose the issue over the phone. Two days later he showed up with a part and the stove was fixed in less than 15 minutes. Incredible customer service. He did not waste my time. He came when he said he was going to come and he was proactive in solving the problem. All this fixed before my first scheduled appointment with Sears would have even taken place. I will definitely use Modern Appliance again.

Very experienced, prompt, efficient. The work was completed quickly and we are very pleased with the results.

Fridge was shutting off intermittently. Peter suggested two alternatives a new timer or thermostat. Given one part was considerably more expensive he recommended trying to fix the thermostat first. He ordered the part and quickly installed it two days -fridge is working fine. He even did a quick inspection to ensure the other components were working well.

We have used used Peter before and been pleased with his guidance, professionalism and technical knowledge and would highly recommend him to friends and family.
