We had selected oakland flooring for new hardwood floors for our kitchen. The job involved installing brand new hard wood floors for our entire kitchen.

In addition we needed sanding and refinishing of the floors in the dining and living rooms. Nasser, came by to inspect the job promptly as scheduled.

Right from the beginning to the very end it was a pleasure to deal with Nasser. He made the job easy and worked around our contractors with ease. I would have no problems recommending oakland flooring.

I had a lot of trouble finding a flooring company that would install both underfloor heating and laminate flooring in the addition at the back of the house. Then I found Naser at Oakland Flooring. Naser explained his underfloor heating product to me and was very helpful in selecting appropriate laminate. He took full responsibility for co-ordinating the electrician and the installers which took some doing. He was very responsive to my requests and a delight to deal with. The laminate is beautifully installed; I am delighted with both it and the underfloor heating The only reason that this rating is not a 10 is not really Naser's fault; both times the electrician came he was extremely late with no real explanation, and this delayed completion of the project. If I have flooring needs in the future, I will definitely go back to Oakland Flooring.

I faced a challenge of matching an existing flooring with a new floooring that I wanted to install in my bedroom (to replace a carpet in a bedroom). I found Oakland Flooring very professional - they stained the wood at their factory to match my existing floor to achieve a 99% match! The total price I've paid for the flooring and installation was only $1,200 (which was identical to what others were willing to charge me for the same products and services but without an extra effort to stain the floor to achieve a 99% match) - I was inpressed! Now, no one can see the difference between the flooring in my bedroom and in the rest of my apartment. Excellent job!

Work was done efficiently and on time. Installers were tidy. The floors look beautiful and have transformed our home.
We have two dogs and were concerned with the type of flooring that would work well. Oakland was patient with our questions and helped us make a good decision.

Oakland Flooring was extremely cheap and they did a very good job installing the flooring. Quality was high and they even came back to fix an issue that arose after with no extra charge. Would definitely recommend.

The work is to cap the stair case and replace the handrail. The price is average of 3 quotes. The installers start work after 10:00 am and was one day late on starting the job. The installer wanted to start prep-work one week ahead of scheduled day. It took 5 explanation, in different way, for the installer to understand that the job site is not ready for him to start.
Installers did not have the basic installation materials for the job. He was asking to use the home owner materials like : 3/8 plywood for the landing subfloor , rags for cleanup and the mud for filling in gap.
The workmanship is below average. One of the picket post is not glue in properly and he said that the latex caulking would hold it. The screw plug were not sanded flat. Finish of the nosing was peeling off.
We were left waiting till the day before to know IF the installer would show up next day.
Most of the deficiencies are fixed but we can still see the nail holes on each steps. The are about 6 nails hole on each step. The holes is now the same color as the stair but the dimple is there still.

It was very easy dealing with Nasser and Nick. We were happy with the price (even though we received some lower quotes, Oakland seemed very reliable and honest). The contractors that actually came in to restain were exceptional and did an amazing job. We had multiple questions and each time we contacted Nasser or Nick, they were extremely responsive. I was at first very hesitant in using them because I wasn't referred by a friend or anything, but as the job went on, I couldn't believe how smoothly everything went. I would highly recommend this company!

I had the floors and staircase refinished in my house from a natural stain to a dark stain. Oakland Flooring made it a pleasant experience. I have dealt with contractors before and have been strung along so I was very cautous dealing with Oakland flooring, but it wasn't necessary. They were concerned with the same things that I was concerned with (ensuring that we were available to meet with them for colour matching to other hardwood in the house, worked very hard to meet timelines - even though it looked like they were going to be late they managed to get the job done on time).

I am a satisfied customer, their staff do a great job and are friendly and professional. I would shop there again (very likely will) and I would recommend to my firends.
