Millennium Flooring Surfaces

I was referred to millennium hardwood floors by a friend. Called them up and came right away to give an estimate and price was pretty reasonable. For me it was the knowledge and reliability that made me want them to do my floors and stairs. Sal is super friendly and did extras at no charge.

$1.75/ sqft installing prefinished flooring. The boys did what they were supposed to do and installed the floor to the detail of the home owner. Steps were taken to shave down the subfloor as the nosing and subfloor did not meet proper level and required extra flooring to get it done right. The return time on phone call backs can be delayed as these guys are super busy.

I just bought a new house in toronto and had my carpet remove to install the hardwood floor. Millennium Hardwood Floors did a quick and beautiful job. The hardwood floor is very hard and I love them!! I would recommend this contractor to anyone who wants nice floor for their warm home.

Our experience with Millennium was horrible. The owner Sal talks the talk about his number of years in the business and his experience, but when it came down to walking the walk - he fell on his face. We were constantly lied to about the timing. He told us the stairs would be ready within 4 - 6 weeks, it ended up taking over 2 1/2 months for him to finally start the work. We were told that the job would take 2 days. When it ended up being almost 4 days he kept telling us how big a job it was. Maybe if he worked more than 5 hour days, it would have taken 2 days. And if there is a speck of snow - he hightails out of the house and hits the road. The quality of his work was disappointing. The railing pickets he reinstalled were not properly spaced from each other. There were also not set in straight and don't properly attaching to the banister. He was supposed to prep the risers for painting and did such a lousy job, they had to be resanded by our painter. The edges were rough and the staple holes from where the carpets were previously tacked into the risers had not been filled. The staining job could have been more neatly done by a 3 year old child. I had to repaint all of the molding around the stairs, the pickets and some of the walls because there was stain all over them. When you look at the stairs themselves, there is a gap between the risers and the stair. Shouldn't the two pieces meet?

We were told that the stairs would be done in 4 - 5 weeks, due to timing of the factory that cuts the stairs. After about 6 weeks we called Sal (the owner) who told us we were the first on his list when he got the stairs back from the factory. We called him 2 weeks later because we didn't hear from him and he said that he had 2 large jobs in front of us and then he would get to our job. Everytime we called him he said "I was just going to call you" and of course he never did. There was always an excuse. It ended up taking over 11 weeks for the stairs to get done. The worst part was continuously be lied to and being treated like a fool by this man.
I highly recommend you stay away from this company!
