Mike hooked up our new natural gas BBQ to our existing gas line connection in the backyard. Fast (same-day service), professional (I could not be happier with his craftsmanship), and thorough (showed me how my natural gas grill works, how to light it properly, and how to maintain the gas line). One of the best tradesman I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I cannot recommend Mike any higher or more emphatically; he's amazing!

We recently had our shingle roof (of roughly 15 years) replaced. The shingles were disintegrating, and we couldn’t put it off any longer. I wanted to do a metal roof because my family put one on our cottage 20 years ago, and it hasn’t aged a day. We met Denis the sales representative at the Ottawa Home Show and he was a knowledgable, trustworthy gentleman who sold us on New Steel Roofers, as they are not only an installer but a supplier to other metal roof companies. Holly the coordinator was indispensable in acquiring the materials, setting up the job, and taking care of all the paperwork. Chris the project manager was terrific in coordinating the crew, who managed to install our new metal roof in a single day. Yves and his workers arrived early, had beautiful weather for installing a roof, did a tremendous job in terms of craftsmanship, and an excellent job in cleaning up after the job (leaving almost no debris or materials behind on the property). While it was (admittedly) the expensive option for us to install a metal roof over conventional (and cheaper) shingles, I’m happy we did because the new roof comes with a 50-year transferable warranty, which will both increase our property value over time, and give us the peace-of-mind that no matter what happens with our home, the roof will never be a concern.

In February 2019 our basement flooded, nearly two years after another foundation repair company came in to fix the flooding we had in our basement in June 2017. The other foundation repair company did a poor job, and we needed/wanted another (better) company to come in. We called The Foundation Guys, and the entire experience was exceptional. Denis, the sales rep, was outstanding, professional, friendly, and reassuring. He provided an exceptional consultation, the quote was fairly priced, and the work guaranteed (which was a big deal for us). The crew were amazing, ripping out the shoddy work from 2017, finishing two out of four foundation walls with a rubber membrane (vapour barrier), flow guard, flow shield, roughly 20 epoxy stitches for the cracks in our cinderblock foundation, a new cast-iron sump pump, industrial plastic sump-pump well, and water access hatches. All of this in 1.5 days of work; incredible! Since then, our basement has been water-tight, dry-as-a-bone, and we've been able to sleep at night confident that whenever it rains, we don't have to fear anything leaking into the basement. We ended up paying a little extra, but it bought us peace of mind from an incredible, professional crew, which I can't put a price on.

We needed our hot water tank moved a few feet away from the wall for a foundation repair job in our basement. Gary came out on the first visit to move the hot water tank, install a short-term pex piping solution, and it was successful. He even installed a new valve shut off (we had a tap shutoff previously), which was great. When the valve shut off started to drip, Gary came out on a Saturday to double-check and tighten the valve (which was greatly appreciated). The third and final visit was to move the hot water tank to its final resting place (after the foundation repair job had completed). Our hot water tank is now in a perfect location, has an improved valve shutoff mechanism, replaced the pex for proper copper piping, and even added a plastic blow-off hose (which we didn't have before). Improvements applied on all fronts for our hot water tank, and very grateful for his good work and quality service.
