I had service tech service fridge compartment of refrigerator. Technician required access to coils located in behind freezer compartment. Removed freezer drawer and accessed coils. Upon replacing the freezer drawer it was installed incorrectly, producing a 3/4 of a cm gap. The air tight seal was broken. Brannan came and KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING and in no time it was repaired. Air tight seal back to normal.

Fridge is 5 years old. Appears that an adjustable valve was not allowing cool air to enter the fridge compartment - hindering the normal cycle. To access freezer coils tech removed entire freezer door, and sliding guides. The fridge valve opened and seems to work satisfactorily. Note - labour is NOT warrantied. Tech then re-installed freezer door. Freezer door no longer seals. Tech noted that it will take several hours before the door seals properly and that it is under warantee (false) !!!!! Tech received phone call and it seems he had a BBQ to attend soon. We advised tech that he needs to come back tomorrow, after the 'several hours', to make sure the door seals properly at which time we would happily pay. Tech became agitated - threatened with collection agency claimed that we blamed him for an already non functioning door (the door sealed yesterday evening when I closed the freezer door after taking out two fugsicles).

Did a thorough check of system - external and internal. Filled with nitrogen to locate/identify system leak. Came back following week to check system - type of leak. Offered several potential solutions and provided estimate of cost. No pressure to sign.

Jorge & Jeffrey (dad / son) are great. They look after every detail. Are honest to their word / quote / contract. Biggest feature is their honesty. They use trades when / where needed, however the father / son team are very concientious of any / all work done. I can't say enough positives about them.

Approximate cost of services:
$40,000.00
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
This contractor is honest. They are keenly interested in their reputation to the point where it may be difficult to take on additional projects. Jorge oversees all work done. He is prepared to hire sub trades to do any work that's needed. His price may not be the lowest, but you will not have any problems with them or their work.

His friendly and courteous demeanor is a facade. He has left the site unfinished. Left remaining garbage. When challenged he 'turtles' up, shrugs and attempts to reverse responsibility. An extra PAID in Oct 2011 to prevent water in the basement continues to be a major problem - no attempt to remedy - no refund. Yet he boasts to be 'responsible'. Has attempted to limit the contractual work..twice. He forgets promises made from day to day. Avoids responsibility as much as possible. Many of the items 'finished' were done without qualified trades or oversight There is nothing good to say about Keven Ferry Construction. s.w.

Both my crew and I were upset and disappointed to see such a negative review after many months of hard work transforming your home, during which time you assured us you were more than pleased. As the job drew to a close, and we were down to the short list and final payments, for some reason everything changed. You chose to become aggressive and acrimonious. We tried everything to please you, to no avail. You chose acrimony over resolution, to the point of prohibiting us access to the property to finish the extended list of work, beyond the scope of the contract, that we agreed to in another effort to satisfy you. To date, even the Electrical Inspector has been refused access. There is nothing more to do. Nothing more to say... except we wish you well and hope at some point you are able to find peace in your now beautiful, renovated home. Keven
