I got in touch with Fernando and his team at the start of summer 2021. I had had new pot lights retrofitted all over the house and the ceilings were a mess. This was a job that would require care and precision. After many delays due to other unforeseen circumstances on my part and also because Fernando was fully booked for an entire month, we finally got around to getting the work done. In addition, Fernando recommended an accent wall colour that was a perfect match. I am glad I waited for them. I will no longer be using my old painting contractor; Optimal Paint Services is my new goto.

So, I needed an emergency paint job, touch-ups, minor repairs and a bathroom ceiling fan removal and new installation done. Jennifer and Tomas reached out to me and even though I had to delay the start date, they still managed to get it done in the budget they first provided and also done in the limited time period I had. A truly surperb experience; I will be going back to them again for sure.

We required new light fixtures to be installed. Because of the summer rush a lot of other electricians and electrical companies had given us the brush off. Cleve, despite his busy schedule, came over for a quick diagnosis and then showed up a week later as promised to get the work done. The work was done neatly and quickly. He is a thorough professional.

Jessie reached out to our request for window and eaves cleaning. On the day of the cleaning, unfortunately, they were delayed due to unforseen issues at an earlier job. The delay was about 5 hours. However, we did receive an update and apology for the delay. The service itself was good, no complaints there.

The important thing about AM is that they have a back office. This makes a huge difference when you need to make changes to scheduling and servicing. While there was not too much to be done: a simple checkup of my Napoleon fireplace, their rep was friendly, knowledgable and prompt. I will be using their service again.

Avery and his crew are really good with blinds, especially Hunter Douglas. They know the ins and outs of keeping decade-old blinds in great condition. My only caveat is that because they are usually so in demand, you need to make that second email or phone call to get things moving.

This company responded very quickly to my request to remove an old gas fireplace. I posted the request in the morning and they were there by 4 PM that very day. Excellent speed and customer service. My one minor complaint is that the disposal of the fireplace meant that it had to be carried down a flight of stairs and hauled into the truck. There was only one rep from the company for this. It was a two man job and I had stated as much in my request. I did the heavy liftingm but if I had not been phyically able to, it would have been an issue. And that means they do not get a perfect score.

I was contacted by A&J Custom Glass for the installation of a custom glass shower door and custom made glass tabletop. Both items were delivered and installed in a reasonable amount of time. I do have two issues: I did have to chase them for updates on the order and their delivery date was delayed by two days due to a supplier issue. However, they did pressure the glass supplier to get it done quicker than usual. In terms of pricing, they were easily the best, so if you are OK with some minor issues of customer contact you will not go wrong with A&J.

Sarman Air and their team were excellent. They replied to my request for capping a gas line very quickly. I had the work request posted on Homestars and completed within 24 hours. You really cannot beat that level of service and speed. I will certainly look them up again.

Comfort Clean was fantastic in terms of their response time and their professional demeanour. And while their pricing is just slightly higher than the competition, I found that their thoroughness and attention to detail really made a difference. I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

We had a leak in the basement. Jay and Mike from Router Man were patient, helpful and transparent about the costs and the work needed. They managed to diagnose the problem and offer a reasonably prices solution. The back office at Router Man was also excellent, Sandi was very professional and prompt. Excellent all around.

Hasib from Jahan Construction Inc. got in touch with me just seconds after my request for wall painting and patching service. He was thoroughly professional throughout the experience. There was a minor accident that occured during the work, but Hasib immediately handled it with great humility and transparency. My highest recommendation. Thank you!

The people at EHS were very quick to answer my request for carpet cleaning. They gave me a heads up when they were running late and did a great job at carpet cleaning. They also tried to be very neat and clean while working on my carpets. They let me know what was involved in the whole process. Excellent and high recommended!
