Paradise Movers are amazing, truly! My initial request was for a quote on moving furniture and boxes from my house into a storage unit. Right away and throughout the whole process, John was prompt, courteous, informative and reasonably priced. He not only replied right away, but managed to get me in his schedule somewhat last-minute on the day I had hoped for, but not expected -- all this, despite it being one of the busiest times of year to organize a move. I should add that some companies, even other highly rated ones here on Home Stars, didn't even bother to call or email me back (i.e., if only to say they were booked and couldn't do any new jobs). But John was readily available and communicative and clear and an all around nice person at every turn. The day of the move, he and his assistant, Dragos, came. Both of them were so great and professional and FAST (even with just two movers). They kept me informed every step in the lead-up and throughout the move, and were very safe with COVID protocols. Despite moving some large and unwieldy things out of an old house with narrow doors and steps, absolutely everything they moved was fine, no damages whatsoever. They even really well organized all the stuff in my storage unit for me, as they unpacked. It's so clearly laid out in there now that I know where all the items are, if I ever need them. They really went the extra distance. Paradise Movers were a real pleasure to work with and made what is usually SO stressful a process easy-peasy. I will definitely be calling them again when it's time to move my items out of storage!

My experience with The Great Plumbing Company was excellent! Unlike many of the more major repairs needed in other reviews, my repair was smaller, but it was urgent (water was leaking out of a pipe and into my basement). So I really appreciated that Jeff showed up on time (and kept me informed that he was en route). He did the repair quickly and cleanly, and didn't try to upsell me on needing more of this or that (as I've often found other contractors or repairpeople tend to do, as I have an old house). A bonus: the repair was even cheaper than I anticipated! Jeff was warm, courteous and professional through the whole cycle of the repair. I am really happy to have found a reliable plumber whom I will definitely contact again in the future, as well as recommend to others, for jobs both large and small.
