I just want to thank Ash for the quick response to help out and get my water heater working properly again. We had hired contractors to renovate my senior mother's house. As part of that renovation, we had a new Hot Water Tank installed. It never worked correctly from day one, but all our complaints fell on deaf ears. Well, the contractor walked out on us, not finishing the job that they were paid to complete. Trying to get the original subcontractor to come out and provide service to the product they supplied also proved to be unsuccessful. Thankfully, I found Fair Deal Heating and Air Conditioning. Ash came out on Sunday, replaced the gas valve control unit, and also took the time to fix up the other contractors DIY-style install. Ash was kind, courteous, and a true professional through and through. I couldn't have asked for a better transaction. In fact, let me just also say how Ash has gone the extra mile. The part that I needed to be replaced was under warranty. Ash arranged for me to pay for the part, and he has taken care of all the forms that are necessary to help me get my refund. Now, here is where the extra mile comes in. Ash took the initiative to contact the supplier after a few days to inquire what is taking so long to have this refunded. I didn't even have to say anything, he just did it on his own. It is very rare to find someone so caring enough about their customers these days. Fair Deal Heating and Air Conditioning is now the only call I will make when it comes to my water heater, furnace, and air conditioner.

Mister Plumber comes through again! I've been using them for a few years now whenever I have a problem, and they have never failed me. When the Water Valve started to leak I gave them a call, and Alex came out to fix the problem. Alex replaced 2 valves for us, and also fixed the shoddy work that was done by whoever installed that piping in the first place. He moved the valve to an are where it would be easily accessible and made the connection higher near the ceiling so that if we wanted to finish the basement, it would easily be out of sight. Now that is something that got my respect. Alex also took the time to educate me on what I can do to avoid having problems like this in the future. Alex is an amazing plumber, and I will most assuredly be calling him in the future and recommending him to all my friends and family. Thank you for you help Alex!

First time caller to Reliance based on the reviews from Homestars, and I am so happy that I did. Robert Maclean came out and inspected the furnace that was red tagged when Enbridge shut the gas to my home off due to an underground leak. Robert did a thorough inspection and determined that the furnace was in working order and gave us heat on the coldest day yet! I was impressed with Robert's nice attitude, attention to detail, and he took the time to answer every question I threw at him. I will definitely be calling Robert again for other service calls, but absolutely when it comes time to replace the furnace and a/c that we currently have. Thank you Robert. If I could rate you 11/10, I most certainly would!

After reading the reviews here on Home Stars, I decided to call Titans Roofworks for an estimate. Don came out the next day to take a look at the roof and provide me with an estimate. Don climbed up on the roof to take a look, something which other roofers did not do, and when he came down he asked me if he could put a couple of shingles on the roof were there was wood exposed. That right there cemented the fact that Titans was going to get the job. And am I ever glad that I called them out. The job was done over the course of a few days, and it was done impeccably. This is most assuredly the most professional company I have ever worked with. Justin and his crew were so polite and worked hard and delivered a picture perfect roof! Thank you Titans Roofworks! You will have all my future business as well as anyone I can recommend you to!

Highest possible recommendation for A&A Masonry. Called them for an estimate on a chimney rebuild. Dan came out the next day and did a thorough evaluation and also pointed out some areas in need of tuck pointing. Gave them the go ahead, and they were out a few days later. Ronaldo and his team did an amazing job. In fact, I had a roofer out to inspect the shingles a few days after A&A completed their job, and he remarked that the Chimney rebuild was one of the best he had ever seen. I think that is all that really needs to be said. So happy that I chose to go with A&A Masonry, and I will be definitely calling them and recommending them to everyone I know! Forget the 10/10 maximum rating that HomeStars allows you, The Plumbing Expert gets an 11/10!! I found a pinhole leak in the copper pipe coming from the hot water tank. I came to HomeStars to find someone to help me out and I called Elie. Elie is phenomenal! He came out very quickly even when he had other jobs and being the day before Good Friday, that should tell you all you need to know about him. He took care of the job very quickly and was very knowledgeable. The quality of the work he did was impeccable, even going so far as to fix the random patch jobs that Direct Energy had done when they installed the hot water tank. Elie, it was a pleasure doing business with you, and from this point onwards you are my plumber. I heartily recommend calling The Plumbing Expert first and will recommend Elie to all my friends and family.

Update: I have been in constant contact with FC Locksmith since this incident. They have been very open and honest with my experience and have apologized for the inconvenience that was caused. As an apology, they reimbursed me half of the cost and assured me that they strive for excellence. I can unequivocally state that when it comes to customer service, FC is top notch, which is hard to find these days. I can now fully recommend FC Locksmith as a company who stands behind their service and will make sure that you are satisfied with both their work and company. Well done, FC! You will have my business in the future. Original: Going by the rating here on HomeStars, I chose to go with FC to change a deadbolt on my door. I made the appointment three days prior because as I explained to the dispatcher at the time, the building is currently vacant and there is nowhere for me to stay and wait for the service reps arrival. I explained that I am disabled and only have one leg, and with nowhere to sit down, I needed an appointment for a specific time. The morning of the appointment, I got a call from the rep, two and a half hours before the appointment time asking if I could meet him at the location within the next twenty minutes or so. I explained that it was a long distance for me to travel and that there was no way for me to get there that quickly. Then he offered to come two hours after my appointment time. I explained to him that I have other plans and that is why I made the appointment when I did. He said he would arrive at the original appointment time. I arrived at the location a full forty five minutes before the appointment and waited. Half an hour after the appointment time, the rep still had not arrived, so I called. I was told that the rep would contact me. Half an hour later, still no contact. So, I called back. I got to speak to the manager and was told that there would be someone sent to my location within ten minutes. Half an hour later, the rep arrived. When I made the appointment, I was told that the rep would have a selection of deadbolts, but the rep only had the one no name brand that was installed. I was told that the deadbolt prices start at $45 when I made the appointment, but the rep told me they start at $95 and I was misquoted.

Having found Mister Plumber here on Homestars, I called them to about the various plumbing jobs that were needed around the house. The next morning, Igor came out to take care of the tasks. A toilet removal and installation, kitchen faucet replacement as well as a rehaul of the piping under the sink, laundry faucet replacement, and having the main pipe snaked after years of buildup later, and I am happy to report that Igor and Mister Plumber are spectacular. The quality of work and the price for that work was unbeatable. I will wholeheartedly recommend Mister Plumber to everyone. Thank you for the great job Igor!

So, we've all run into the dreaded leaky faucet, right? Oh, and it is something we should all feel comfortable enough to fix, right? Well, that was me, until today that is. I thought it would be standard procedure to replace the leaky cartridge of my bath tub, only this time it was out for revenge! I tried and tried to get it to settle, and in the end the beast was too much for me to handle. Enter the new hero: Les from Mr. Rooter! He was prompt, courteous, and sent that leaky faucet packing! He attacked the problem head on and explained the options available to me clearly. Les also looked at a leaky toilet and after fixing the main issue, found another problem. Again, he offered me different options. Les, thank you very much for coming out in this terrible weather and for weathering the storm that was my bath tub faucet. It is greatly appreciated. I know that we award stars for the company, and I of course offer a 10 Star Rating, but I would also like to offer a 10 Star Rating for Les himself.
