Same story for Peak (aka Home Depot) in Toronto – absolutely the worst possible service. I didn't even get to the installation portion of the work. The Peak team showed up to install and told me there wasn't enough room to install one of the windows due to furnace placement (even though I had specifically asked the sales rep. and the measurer if there was sufficient room). A Peak supervisor then showed up and told me the windows had been incorrectly measured. He couldn't do a re-measure since 1) it's not his job, he's a supervisor, and/or 2) he has to go to another job and/or 3) the measurer (the guy who did it wrong the first time) has to come back. Two days later the measurer calls and says the measurements were correct, the install team just didn't want to do the work. That was enough for me. I immediately called Home Depot in Atlanta, since HD in Canada doesn't make it very easy to contact them directly, and cancelled the job. After two weeks of calling HD, I was finally given a refund on my deposit.

We used North Shore a few years ago for a downspout disconnect. Great work back then and even better results this time. Absolutely outstanding quality of work and commitment (including coming back late one evening to put up a section of eavestrough in case a thunderstorm developed). You'll get above and beyond with North Shore - do not hesitate to call them.

I use HomeStars regularly to find contractors for various home projects. And when I come across one that has pretty much all 10’s, I usually have some doubts, wondering how one company could consistently satisfy all of its customers. I don’t have those doubts anymore, at least when it comes to Cozy World. From the moment I contacted them to get some information on a new furnace and AC, to the completion of the job, I was – and still am – 100% satisfied. Fred called me back almost immediately after I registered via their website. He arrived at our home on time, presented the options very clearly, and provided excellent advice. I then did some online research and came up with additional questions, which Fred answered quickly, thoroughly and effectively. His team did their work in a day and cleaned up very well. Most importantly, since I work from a home office, they did everything as quietly as possible. Cozy World, Fred and his team all very much deserve 10’s. *** And do yourself a big favour and install Lennox – it’s so quiet that I have to go downstairs to make sure it’s running!

What can I say that hasn't been said already. Massimo's team did exactly what we wanted them to do - provided our exterior with a dramatic and completely new look. At the top of my kudos list is the quality of their work. In addition, they showed a lot of patience with nasty wasps, some late changes in scope, and a couple of homeowners who were somewhat slow in finalizing a colour scheme. I highly recommend Executive Touch and will absolutely use them for our interior project next year.

Late one afternoon I noticed that my garage door was not opening properly (via the door opener). Not having had any work done on the door in many years, I went to HomeStars to look for help. I went through the list and found Dodds (close to the top). It had a lot of reviews and a fairly high average score so I entered a request for help online. First thing the next morning I had a callback from CJ at Dodds. After I provided additional detail on the problem, CJ quickly realized the sensitivity of the opener needed adjustment. He asked me to email him a photo of the back panel of the opener, and then replied by email with instructions on how to fix it. His solution worked – perfectly. Not only did CJ/Dodds work on my behalf to resolve the problem without having to send someone out (and incur a charge), everything was done quickly and very professionally. If you need help with your garage door, do not hesitate to call Dodds. They’re the real thing!!
