We chose Ambia to replace six windows in our 1960s home, and we are pleased with the final result. The initial consultation with Jimmy was thorough, and he took the time to explain the options and even met us at the manufacturers showroom (STAGE) so that we could view the actual products. The windows seemed solidly constructed and beautifully designed, and we chose them over offerings from other companies. Jimmy is extremely pleasant to work with, and he is smart and knowledgeable about the various options, putting together a detailed estimate that balanced quality and practicality, with pricing that was clear and reasonable. These are challenging times, with unpredictable supply chain and labour shortages, high consumer demand, government rebate programs, etc. Ambia was up front in communicating and managing any issues that came up, and we felt that both Jimmy and Tony made good on their promise to deliver a final result that met or surpassed expectations, not only before and during the installation process, but also post-sale to remedy any outstanding minor deficiencies. They take the customers interests and concerns seriously, and understand the importance in cultivating good customer relations and rapport at every stage in the process, as well as providing a professional installation of a durable and dependable product, that we hope to enjoy for many years to come. We have used DAVESDUCTS on two occasions this season: furnace maintenance and duct cleaning. Dave was extremely helpful on the phone, and set up appointments as per our needs. Brendan went over our furnace meticulously, and Kevin and Ryan did the most careful and thorough cleaning of the ducts that we have had in 20+ years we have lived in this house. They removed vent covers and cleaned areas of the system that had been neglected or ignored by other technicians. We used to have a maintenance plan through the gas company, and the comparison in quality of work is not even remotely close to DAVESDUCTS’ high standards of quality workmanship and customer service, which is rare these days.

We’ve been putting up with minor issues due to our aging plumbing fixtures for years (leaving plastic basins under taps to collect dripping water etc, etc.) and finally decided to do replace and modernize the faulty parts. Although this amounted to a handful of small jobs, we could not have made a better choice than Tornado Plumbing. Yuri is an absolute professional: impeccable finished work looks beautiful and clean. He took the rare extra time to make sure everything was just right before leaving. On top of that, he is a nice guy, and dealing with him was straightforward and pleasant, without the b. s. or bravado that one may encounter these days. Highly recommend and look forward to the next job.

I contacted Canadian Roofing Company based on positive reviews on Homestars. We've looked into a few companies since last summer (up until recently there was no obvious sign the work needed doing imminently) - some didn't even respond - this company seemed like the best bet. Bill responded promptly and came out with a ladder and assessed the job thoroughly, taking digital pictures and providing a detailed yet easy-to-understand report of the recommended work and a quote. He was very helpful and open to questions about shingle colour and improving and upgrading ventilation. We also had a minor leakage of rainwater through the chimney, the source of which was unclear, but he promised to address that also as far as possible. The crew arrived and did the entire job in one day in an efficient and professional manner, cleaning up to the point that, other than the good-looking new roof, one would scarcely have known they were there. And the leak in the chimney disappeared as well. In terms of quality, value, customer service, follow up, I would rate Canadian Roofing Company very highly - a pleasure to work with them!
