First, this review is about Mr. Josh the CAS agent who responded to my call and went all the way until "Done Deal." He showed patience and responded clearly to my questions about the item purchased. However, I noticed that the authority of agents are so limited or even trivial when it comes to the price and discounts. That is why customers require talking to the supervisor frequently. I guess this undermines the role of customer care agents in finalizing deals, Josh proved considerate and understandinf. Thanks, Josh

My wife bought my garage door opener from Sears. The agent told her that the opener carries a life time warranty on the chain (belt). She, as most clients, did not read the lengthy small font paragraphs in the warranty. We took care of the opener by cleaning and lubricating its moving parts. Recently, a loud noise was heard whenever the opener opens or closes the door. I spent more than one hour trying to talk to an agent on the phone to schedule a check up and repair. The story ended that Sears warranty covers nothing but the chain. Even providing that chain free must be preceded by a private technician's report stating that the chain needs replacement, then the customer waits until he receives the part from Sears, and finally replaces the part on his own or by a private technician. So, if the chain costs $100, the customer might have to pay about $200 or more for 2 visits of a private technician to complete the job. In a nutshell: 1- Pay a little bit more for a seller whose warranty provides parts, maintenance, and repair over a well defined period, 2- Preferably, buy additional extended warranty, 3- Read, thoroughly, the small font paragraphs in warranties before buying any goods.

I contracted Reliance home comfort company to maintain my furnace and A/C. In addition, a full check up of both units is carried out annually. The company response to any call is prompt and their action is reliable.

Reliance protectron security system company installed an alarm system at my home five years ago. The system proved reliable. No problems since it was installed. The monthly payment is reasonable.

I contracted Reliance Home Comfort two months ago for service and maintenance of my own furnace. I called them on 23 Dec. 2012 at about 6 PM to repair the furnace. The respondent scheduled the technician visit on 24 Dec., but he promised to make it earlier, if that was possible. Ned, the technician, came at 8 AM and did a great job. He is a friendly man who is nice to deal with. I hope Reliance would go on with such professionalism and good customer care. I was not charged anything for the service. Thank you.
