This is five years overdue, but a recent followup service impressed me so much that a review finally had to be written. The company who did our skylights five years ago recommended John and his team to replace our old roof at the same time. The quality of J Stewart Roofing's work and service were great and we were happy with the roof. We had no complaints over the last five years, but one of the windstorms this year tore off a few pieces of shingle. We followed up with John, who's team came right away to make the repairs. We subsequently contacted the manufacturer of the shingles to make a claim on the repair costs, since the damage from the windstorm fell under their warranty, but the manufacturer had a laundry list of requirements that would have been challenging to meet in order to process my claim. I contacted John about this, and right away, he took matters into his own hands and followed up with the manufacturer himself. Within a week or two, he sorted everything out for us and we received a check to reimburse us for the repair costs. I was girding myself for a protracted headache with the shingle manufacturer and John made everything painless. I highly recommend J Stewart Roofing for both the quality of their work, but more importantly, for their incredible service. Email replies were always prompt, and John proactively kept me updated with his progress with the shingle manufacturer.

Hi, Phil from Drainworks did a solid job with the plumbing work we needed done on our newly purchased home. There was a leak in the outside plumbing pipe due to a heavy tree leaning into it. He ended up replacing the entire pipe section from the inside of the house to the outside, and changed the indoor shut off valve as well, since the previous installation was not to code and was a risk for frozen pipes. He also added a shut off valve to our main water line, since the home inspector said the existing one was very old and could cause leak issues down the road. The added valve means we don't have to worry about touching the existing one, which both Phil and the inspector said separately would be fine as long as we don't touch it. Replacing the existing one would've meant getting the City involved, which could take a long time, so his proposal was an effective solution to the problem. Phil was extremely careful about explaining how the fees were calculated right from the beginning, so that everything was up front.
