A large maple tree in my yard required a trim. Mike came and discussed the job with me and understood exactly what I wanted. He and his crew arrived on the scheduled date and expertly trimmed branches away from the roof, elevated the canopy and removed branches that overhung neighbors' yards. The crew worked efficiently and safely and followed with a great clean-up of the yard. The tree looks amazing. I am extremely happy with the work done and would highly recommend Forestwood Tree Service.

I have been cleaning out years of clutter from my basement. There were a number of very heavy items that had to go. I booked a pick-up on-line and with an hour, I was told the truck was on the way. Jacob L. and Jahlani P. arrived to do the job. They checked what I wanted taken away and explained the billing system. Then they quickly picked up all the heavy items and took them away. Both men were polite and pleasant. From booking to pick-up, it was not more than 2 hours. I have used Got Junk before and knew that would do a great job again, which they did.

I had 2 very old birch trees removed from my front yard. I needed stonework done to make the area usable. I called Burl Oak and spoke to Mark who came out and gave me an initial estimate on what I had in mind. He also suggested that we widen the front steps to make the overall look more balanced. He came out a second time, to draw the actual plan, which included the steps, a raised flower bed and a stone patio enclosed by an existing hedge. Sooner than promised, the team came out to do the job. They all worked very hard under the supervision of Louay. They were also very patient in handling the removal of a huge tree root we had not anticipated, along with laying out weeping tile to re-direct a downspout. I am very, very pleased with the work and have had a lot of compliments on it and the impact on the front of the property.

I had a broken cement slab in the backyard that needed replacing. Carlo came out to give an estimate the day I called. He explained that, as it was a small job, I might have to wait to be added on to a larger job. No problem. Soon after, the old slab was removed and taken away and the framing was put down for the new job. Not long after that, the cement was poured and the new job was completed. A very neat job, no mess left behind. I am very pleased with the work done.

I have had a huge old treadmill and a couple of old TV's gathering dust in the basement for some time. Finally decided I should get some help to get rid of them. 1-800-GOT-JUNK to the rescue! Chris and Drew arrived at the time promised, dragged everything out of the basement, took a couple of items from the garage and left me with some extra space. They were polite and very careful as they maneuvered items up the stairs. Next time the junk starts to collect, I will call 1-800-GOT-JUNK again.

I have bought custom drapes and sheers from Crazy Joe's in the past and was extremely happy with them. When I needed blackout drapes for a new place in a hurry, I went back. Bini was very helpful, showed me some fabric that had just come in and was on sale. I told her I needed the drapes quickly and she put a RUSH on the order. Less than a week later, I had my drapes. Gorgeous! And all the pin hooks were in place so hanging them up was a breeze. Great service and great quality have stood the test of time here. Thanks to Bini and Joe.

In the torrential rainstorm of July 2013 water leaked into one room in our basement. We called our insurance company and they sent out a “clean up and restoration” team the following day to rip up carpet and under pad, cut out the lower portion of the walls and disinfect and dry the room. Subsequently they advised that they could not come back and restore the room for, maybe, 4 months. We ran out of patience and, after getting the external waterproofing done, started getting quotes from other companies. Several gave quotes in the 5 figure range to restore what is a small room – 18’ x 13’. Some years ago, when our furnace leaked and soaked the basement carpeting, we had called Concord who came out and fixed the problem immediately. We decided to see if they could help with our current problem. Nick came out, looked at the room and seemed to understand that we did not want any major renovation, just a simple job to make the room useable again. Rather than ripping out all the old panelling, he agreed that the room could be set to rights by filling in the lower half of the walls, adding a chair rail to cover the join, laying down carpet tile and installing new baseboards. He promised us a quote the next day. Sure enough, the Concord group sent us an acceptable quote within 24 hours, a quote that was significantly less than most of the other contractors. Less than a week later, Rob and Hamid appeared as scheduled and completed the job in one day, albeit a long day for them. They did excellent work and completed the job as it was set out. They were pleasant, hard-working and polite. And – this is a big plus – they cleaned up all the trash and waste from the demolition part and took all the waste away. They also left us with a good supply of the carpet tiles, to be used if necessary in future. We are entirely satisfied with the job Concord did for us and would recommend them to anyone who wants good work done at a reasonable price.
