Spring Home is an EXCEPTIONAL COMPANY! I speak from the experience of having used other companies to my distinct detriment. Spring Home is highly professional with all stall involved from initial sales to final installation to customer care. We dealt with the extraordinarily competent & knowledgeable installation & service manager, GEORGE. We bought a Lochinvar Knight Boiler, a John Wood hot water tank & 2 different styles of Mitsubishi Ductless A/Cs. We are very happy with all of these purchases, as well as with the related maintenance & customer care we have received following the purchase. Here is our (not very short) story so you will understand why this Company is exceptional. If you are not interested in reading through this entire review, please, at least, read the end because it makes note of an exceptional courtesy extended by the Company. We own a large ranch bungalow in Scarborough built in 1954. It has an unusual heating system consisting of only all 'in-floor' copper pipe radiant heating. When we first purchased the house, it became immediately apparent that there was a heating system problem. We called upon the heating company that the previous owners had been using & found, pretty quickly, that that company had no expertise whatsoever in the system installed in the house (hence the problems we were encountering). We then called upon a heating company that advertised itself as specialists in old home heating, only to be sold a totally inappropriate boiler/hot water heating system, which then resulted in repairs & replacements that tripled the cost of our original investment. I have gone into this detail to let you know what a breath of fresh air it was to open the door to Spring Home! We found, in George, a man with exceptional knowledge who knew exactly how to deal with what our particular issue was & how to solve the problem. And that he did. I stated earlier that we have an important note about a courtesy extended by this Company. Again, because we have an unusual heating system in our house, we also have no built in provision for A/C. There were a limited number of options available to us & George was able to clearly define these options & make recommendations in our circumstances. We had not committed to making a decision on the A/C matter when my husband was suddenly & unexpectedly required to undergo triple by-pass heart surgery, at a time when August exterior temperatures hovered in the humidex 35-40 C range. It was imperative for his health that we had A/C at the time of his release from hospital. I called George & I am forever grateful that, with exceptionally short notice, he was able to arrange the required equipment & send out a crew to do an installation on the very day before my husband's release. His crew attended overtime & on a long weekend. This was no small thing-critical, in fact, & something we will never forget! As I said, EXCEPTIONAL COMPANY!

There are many positive reviews for ME Contacting on Homestars. That is why we chose to use this Company. I could write an ordinary review saying that our project was successfully completed & that we we were pleased with the service. That would be true, but there is much more to be said. We own a ranch bungalow built in 1954. Part of the original construction involved the installation of a concrete pool in the backyard. That pool was surrounded by an old concrete deck and retaining walls consisting of railway ties. After 60 years, those ties were failing & needed to be replaced. And the pool deck was cracked & also in need of replacement. We contacted ME Contracting & dealt with Tomir Amir. He determined that physical access to our backyard was limited. That meant that he would not be able to bring down machinery to remove the railway ties or to dig out other portions of the retaining walls that needed replacement. All of this would have to be done by pure and simple manual labour. Let me tell you -clearly - that I doubt that there would have been another company that would have bothered with the enormous amount of manual work involved in this project. And yet, ME Contracting took it on. I can tell you that I personally saw Tomer, and his 'wing man', John Baird, each physically removing huge railway ties from our backyard using crowbars. This was, not btw, in March when the ties were still pretty much frozen to the ground. Then they carted those enormous ties up to the front of the house by wheelbarrow for further disposal. Tomer & John, and their crew, completely rebuilt our pool retaining wall with timbers. Not only that, they cut back some of the walls to give us more space around the pool deck. That, sadly for them, involved having to remove parts of an old concrete septic system tank. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the happiest of projects for Tomer & John, but I must say that they carried on with very hard work & integrity notwithstanding. They did what they said they would do. And we were very impressed with that. So, 10 out of 10, for sure. I'm going to put some photos on here so you will see what we started with & what we ended up with. The photos will speak volumes. When they has finished that, we were so pleased that we asked them to construct a new limestone deck to surround our pooll.

Do not hesitate for one moment to engage Olympic Kitchens for the design & installation of your kitchen cabinets. Outstanding Company with superior quality cabinets, installation & customer service. We spent a very long time researching various kitchen cabinet/renovation companies, both high end & mid-range, as well as contractor referrals & we always walked away dissatisfied for one reason or another. By a stroke of good fortune, we saw an Olympic Kitchens sign posted outside of a very high end home under construction in our area. We contacted Olympic & have not looked back since. We dealt with Andrea Panacci, a young lady whose youthful appearance belies her extensive knowledge, experience, discipline & attention to detail. That's not to mention her patience & diplomacy. When we had specific ideas in mind, she found a way to incorporate them. When there was something clearly wrong with our concepts, she kindly & diplomatically steered us in a more appropriate direction. The end result was a stunning kitchen reconstruction that met all of our wants & needs. See the photos. You will note that we basically copied much of the Olympic Kitchens showroom model. As part of that, we chose the same Caesarstone countertop displayed in the showroom. It was not just the material chosen that made a difference, it was the detail in the showroom design model. There is a 2" height on the facing edge, it is beveled & it has a 1/4" reveal beneath it. Short of employing an independent designer, this is not something we would ever have thought of doing, and yet it made all the difference in the appearance of the countertop! Olympic engaged Fabrica to install the countertop & they, like Olympic, were very professional in the supply & installation of the countertop. It is true that you get what you pay for. Don't scrimp. We took such a long time finding a kitchen cabinet company that we had to replace our appliances in the interim. We chose the high end appliances that we ultimately wanted to have & we incorporated some of them into our existing cabinetry .Some appliances were left in boxes. I mention this because it was no small feat for Olympic to have to incorporate our pre-purchased appliances into their design. One of these appliances was a pull out exhaust hood that was no longer in production & for which specs were no longer available. Elias, one of the Company's owners, called for the hood to be brought into the shop so that a custom cabinet could be made to accommodate it. That, I think, is beyond the call of duty & a measure of the lengths to which this Company will go to ensure that you are satisfied with their service. So,10 stars out of 10, more if I could give them that. A stellar Company!!!!

We found Vienna by pure chance. We did not know of Homestars at the time. We had some leather straps on the backs of lounge chairs that had deteriorated & broken. We took the straps into Vienna & they were replaced with stronger fabric straps. Very small job that we doubted anyone could be bothered with. They bothered. So when it came to replacing the upholstery on our dining room & kitchen chair seats, that is where we went. And we couldn't be happier! I dealt with Ross. From the beginning of our communications to delivery of the final product, I have nothing but a stellar review. Ross was very personable, highly informed & patient. There was no end to the questions I asked & no end to his very comprehensive, intelligent answers. He was always immediately accessible & treated my concerns with the highest of integrity. If there was a particular product he could not provide, he referred me to other suppliers that might be able to do so. He allowed me to take samples to my home to determine my choices. Some of our work was standard recovering work, but some was not. He recovered several chair seats for high end vintage 1960's fiberglass swivel chairs. This involved re-using the original curved wood seat panels. No small feat. The price for the work done & the fabrics we chose was more than reasonable. The work done was outstanding.

We have a very large roof on a ranch bungalow in Scarborough. We previously purchased asphalt shingles & they deteriorated within 13 years of the 25 year guarantee. We contacted New Steel Roofers & were absolutely thrilled with their product & its installation, which occurred in August of 2014. We purchased the Metstar Slate Series in 3 tone teak. Surprisingly, we have had a number of unsolicited comments by complete strangers on the beauty of our roof, comments from people just walking by the property. The roof does, indeed, look like slate & it is beautiful. It is also very well constructed: where once we had large roof valleys that collected rain & poured over the edges, we now have a peak-type construction in the middle of those valleys that directs the rain more appropriately - no flooding overrun. Also, we have shields that come over the eave troughs, so no more dripping in between the roof & the eaves. Service was impeccable, from sales to installation. 100% recommendation. Doesn't happen often.

Was looking for a Danby 17.7 cu ft all refrig as a secondary storage frig. Could only find it at 3 large low end retailers with poor company reviews, one of which companies I had already used & knew the bad review to be true. This is not a review of the frig. I don't know how that's going to turn out, but it has nothing to do with Dovercourt..I checked Homestars retailers & found Dovercourt, which I had never heard of - thank you Homestars! - with excellent reviews.Their website is amazing! They have just about everything & I was able to make product comparisons online, which was more than helpful. I called the store to order by phone with credit card. Dealt with both Joe & Avo. They got me the product at the time that they said they would, at the same price as advertised by the low end stores, & delivery was as specified. I paid full price by CC over the phone ahead of time so, not knowing the company, I was a little apprehensive that I had done so. No problems. Great company. 100% recommendation.

This is an exceptional Company in every respect. Don't hesitate, for one moment, to call them. I'm sorry there are only 10 stars on the satisfaction chart because they far exceed that rating. We just put in a new expensive kitchen & the entire project was ruined by a severely botched grout job adjoining the kitchen counters. Many of these tiles were small: 1" x 3".Ramiro & his assistant, Harold, worked tirelessly hand scraping out the old grout, replacing some of the tiles that had previously been chipped, & regrouting with Quartz Lock. From the moment I contacted Ramiro until the completion of the job, I was met with complete professionalism & competency. He was always accessible, called when he said he would, showed up when he said he would & priced the job estimate accurately. Most importantly, he did what he said he would do. Another thing, which relates to integrity, Ramerio will not bump you out of line for another customer. Your request for work comes in a certain order - the order as received - & he respects that order. He tells you when he can get to you & that's when he will get to you. I found Tigro through a Google search which referred me to Homestars.Thank you,Homestars! There is no small reason this Company has, at today's date, 93 10 star ratings.A very special Company!
