I have a large mostly asphalt backyard which was faded and had many cracks and holes. When I had a new fence erected, some of it had to be dug up and needed to be repaired and I decided it was a good time to spruce up all of the asphalt. As usual, I consulted HomeStars and found Asphalt Care. I spoke to David by 'phone and he came over the next day and gave me an estimate. As I found it to be very fair, we set up an appointment to have the work done the following week. David and Andre arrived promptly at 9 a.m. and later that day, all of my asphalt had been cleaned, repaired, patched and sealed/painted. I am very pleased with the results and dealing with David was a pleasure. He was friendly, courteous, helpful and very efficient. I will definitely be calling him again next spring to renew the sealant as he has suggested.

I had a 30 ft. long stone block wall running along the rear of my corner property that had been a bone of contention from day one. In order to appease a previous neighbour, it was built 10 1/2 inches inside my property line. This included a 6 inch Right of Way to be used only for access to their home. Much to my dismay, the latest neighbour claimed the 10 1/2 inches was now their property due to Adverse Possession (Squatter's Rights). No amount of reasoning could convince them that this wasn't true. I decided I would remove the wall and replace it with a fence 4 1/2 inches further over, leaving them with the use of the 6 inch Right of Way. As I have done several times in the past, I went to Homestars to find a a reputable stonemason and fence builder. I called A&A as their reviews were truly impressive and soon had an appointment with Brad. I was immediately impressed with his empathy for my problem, as well as his knowledge and courtesy. When I told him I had already spent a great deal of money on lawyer's fees and a new survey without much success, he offered to verify my legal rights and did so by speaking to the Police and two surveyors on my behalf. As soon as he had confirmation of the legality of my plan, the wall was removed In one day, and Brad had it dismantled and neatly stacked onto the bed of an A&A truck. He then erected a snow fence along the open space until a fence could be erected as he knew I was concerned about the neighbour's reaction. Much to my relief and delight, Brad was also able to recommend an excellent fence builder and a truly impressive fence now sits at the rear of my property. Thanks to Brad and A&A, peace has now been restored to my little corner of the world. I very enthusiastically recommend A&A and their outstanding service and would give them even more than a 10 rating if I could.

I hadn't had my exterior windows, awnings etc. cleaned for a couple of years and didn't anticipate very good results as they were pretty old and very dirty. After I called, Brian arrived promptly to give me an estimate and a booking date. On the appointed day, a very hot and humid one, John arrived and did a fantastic job on all of my white aluminum fittings.He worked very hard in spite of the intense heat and acbieved fantastic results. Everything sparkled and I couldn't have been more pleased. The actual windows were done a couple of days later by a very nice young man who completed the job in about an hour. I will definitely be calling New View again next year.

I called Handyman Connection because I had several jobs that I had been wanting to get done for some time, but I couldn't find a reliable handyman. The very pleasant gentleman I spoke to when I called - I regret I can't remember his name - assured me that they do all sorts of jobs, both big and small. Braeden and Dustin began and completed all of the work in the allotted time, even though they ran into some obstacles and encountered difficulty in finding some of the materials I wanted. I also very much appreciated that they gave the same full attention to the largest job - prepping and painting a 30 ft.long, 5 feet high stone wall - as they did to what I call all the little "dumb jobs". They were friendly, polite and patient with my many questions and, best of all, didn't leave any mess to clean up afterwards. I will definitely call Handyman Connection again and recommend them to my neighbours and friends.

As one of my laundry tub taps was leaking badly, I called DrainWorks and asked them to make a service call as soon as possible. This is my third time dealing with them and, on every occasion, I have been exceptionally happy with their service. I called on a Thursday and spoke to Will who was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I told him that my taps were quite old and that the drip was rapidly getting worse. He took all the particulars and promised that someone would come as soon as possible, hopefully, the next day. Sure enough, he called again on Friday and said that they would be able to come that afternoon. Chris Léger and a new associate arrived promptly at the appointed time and could tell right away that I would need a completely new set of taps. I was quickly given an estimate for the work needed and, as I found it very reasonable, I agreed to have the work done right away. I am happy to report that I now have a new set of gleaming copper taps, in addition to new and improved hoses for my washing machine. The work was completed on a timely basis and I especially appreciated that, as is their custom, there was no mess for me to clean up. I was also provided with a service warranty. Chris also pointed out to me that I needed a main water valve replacement as it was also leaking and was kind enough to recommend a company that did this type of work. I will definitely call DrainWorks again for any future work I may require and will recommend them to my friends and neighbours, as I have already done in the past.

I had tried everything to unplug my bathtub drain with no success. I remembered that DrainWorks had given me excellent service previously when I had to have some sewer pipes replaced and so I called them. At 11 a.m. I spoke to Jean Paul and asked if someone could come asap as I do love my bubble baths! Jeremy arrived about 5 p.m. He quickly assessed the problem and provided me with an estimate which I agreed to. As he was working, he explained the whole process of what had happened and how he was going to fix it. After a few minutes with an electric snake the drain was cleared. He then did several tests to ensure that it was indeed running freely. While working, he noticed that my toilet was wobbly and needed to be stabilized. He told me it was easy to fix and quickly went out to his truck to find what was needed. To my delight, within minutes he had fixed it with a "skrim" (I think that's the word) and refused to charge me for this as it was a small job. It's been my experience that a large company will seldom do anything without charging. You can be sure I will call DrainWorks again the next time I have a p;umbing problem.
