I contacted M&R Roofing re a leak into a one room addition. The leak was occurring at the point where the single storey addition meets the two storey house. I ended up with new roof at a cost of $2000 even though the replaced roof was less than 10 years old. However, the leak persisted. M&R did not stop the leak, respond to my complaints other than to state that perhaps the problem was never the roof but the siding on the wall that meets the roof. Subsequently I contacted a reputable roofer who did a proper water test and determined that the leak was around the window on the wall connecting the addition to the house. This reputable roofer who did a proper investigation waterproofed the wall, sealed around the window properly, water tested the finished work and solved the problem. So much for M&R Roofing - no investigation and a new roof with the problem remaining. Follow up was pathetic. M&Rs guarantee applies to the roofing job - not to eliminating the problem. I had to send my husband to the office several times before the brother on the road bothered to contact me, admit the problem may not have been the roof and do nothing. He stated the roof would not have lasted the winter if it were faulty even though we'd never had a leak during the winter. The leak had only occurred when heavy rain hit the roof at a certain angle. So much for investigation and follow up.
