JHC inspected my lawns, gave me a quote. Because my back lawn soil was in good shape and the grading was also fine, JHC tilled the soil, regraded than sodded the lawn then cleaned up the yard. The front yard was a mess so the existing sod was removed. The lawn was then regraded and new sod put down. My neighbour also hired JHC to do their adjoining front lawn at the same time. This, in the end made a better job for both properties because equipment could easily adjust the grading of both properties at the same time. The result was great. JHC did professional work and were quite informative during the entire project. The property was cleaned up properly after the contract was completed. Several times during construction JHC would clean the site, including the street, to ensure traffic and pedestrians where inconvenienced as little as possible. I highly recommend this company. Install a provided 2-piece toilet with new 1/4 turn shut-off valve. Install a provided vanity double tap with popup drain. Install under sink 1/4 turn taps, hosing and complete drain system. Jeff was polite, efficient and new what he was doing. A job well done.

I recently hired Black Forest Plumbing to install a vanity drain and a 2-piece toilet for my daughter’s condo. Dan Wray was the installer. I am pleased to say that the work went well. Dan was very polite, kept the site clean during and after the installation. He informed me as to what he was doing and had a respect for the furnishings around him. I was so pleased to find a plumbing firm that offered a quotation and honoured their quote. I have had much experience with other plumbers and am glad that I found a company that does honest work for an honest price. So impressed was I that I recommended Black Forest Plumbing to my friend. I hired Gary Stratiy from All Electrical Service to redo my basement wiring and to install 2 smoke detectors. I also had Gary install a whole house surge protector in the main electrical panel. Gary was quite knowledgeable and his price was reasonable. The detailed drawing I prepared indicated where I wanted lights, switches and receptacles. Gary reviewed my drawing and suggested reasonable changes. Gary’s work was professional. He answered all questions I put to him when I had concerns. He cared about his work and produced quality workmanship. I knew there were problems with the original wiring when I purchased the house 2 years ago. I now feel safe and comfortable now that the electrical work is finished and final inspection by the Electrical Safety Authority has been done and passed. Harold Potten

Once again I have used ExpressRouter for my plumbing needs. Basement Bathroom: - This bathroom was installed poorly by original owners. All the above ground water connections needed to be replaced. They were poorly done and in the wrong place. ExpressRouter (Tony) replaced all plastic flexible tubing with copper piping, at my request. The piping was relocated to permit me to install an exhaust fan via a shorter more efficient route. A hole was drilled through the foundation wall to permit an exhaust pipe. The existing toilet was removed and later replaced and reconnected once my renovations were completed. Kitchen: - I had Tony remove and replace the under sink plumbing and bring it to better than code standards. He added a cleanout access pipe to facilitate cleaning the downstream line should the line ever become blocked with food etc. He also installed an under sink water filter for our drinking water tap. - In the basement he replaced all downstream Kitchen piping to the sewer stack because it was poorly installed and partially blocked with hardened grease etc. Outside Tap: - Tony installed an outside frost free tap system so that I could easily hook up my garden hose in a convenient spot. Quality: Tony did a very professional job and kept the site clean.

I had two projects in mind. The attic needed insulation The basement need insulation and vapour barrier Attic: I chose Insta-Insulation mainly because of the Mike Holmes TV series and investigating other products on my own. I had the attic insulated first. They cleared all soffit vents where needed and added additional baffles to give more insulation. One exhaust vent (from the bathroom) needed to be replaced as well. I had Blown Cellulose insulation put in the attic to achieve an R-50 rating. The installers put air seals on the attic hatch door to prevent air leakage. The job was completed professionally, quickly and neatly. I noticed quite a difference when we had some hot summer days. Our bedroom didn’t heat up like it did before. I would expect winter months will also be improved because of the insulation. The site was left clean and the installers were easy to deal with. Basement: I decided to finished the basement of our newly acquired home. The basement was previously finished but every thing was wrong (poor electrical, poor plumbing, poor and leaking insulation, poor and leaking vapour barrier. etc.). The ductwork seamed to be in all the wrong places, making it impossible to insulate properly and to provide a vapour barrier in the bulk head area (floor joists). The only way to properly insulate the basement and provide a continuous vapour barrier was to spray foam the walls. The basement wasn’t wet but was always damp. There were no visible leaks in the floor or walls. I discussed how I should frame the basement to get the best spray foam coverage and effectiveness. The sales rep was quite helpful. The project also included the cold cellar area that was also damp and was never used. I hired Insta-insulation and the crew completed the basement in a professional and clean manner. With the foam in place, the first thing I noticed was lack of dampness. Also there were no drafts from the floor joist areas. The vapour barrier is continuous from floor to ceiling. This is very difficult to achieve with any other method of insulating. The basement no longer smelled like a damp musty room. I called ExpressRooter to install a furnace floor drain primer valve. This ensures that the floor drain is kept full of water so sewer gases cannot get into the house. Matt McMillian did the installation and did a perfect job. When it came time to have new plumbing and taps for my laundry tub, I made sure Matt did the installation. Once again....a great job. More recently, I had Matt redo the original plumbing and taps for my new Powder Room Vanity sink. Thank you Matt...another great job. If I have more plumbing work to do, I would not hesitate to call Express Rooter.
