I'm having a very frustrating experience with Enercare regarding billing issues. For more than 1.5 years, I was charged for someone else's bill on my Enbridge statements, until I caught it when Enercare separated their bill from Enbridge. Despite multiple calls to report this error, it took Enercare a long time to investigate. Finally, they admitted it was a mistake and promised a refund.
I was instructed to email a void check to contactus.web@enercare.ca and was told the refund would be processed within 5-10 business days. However, after a month of waiting and not receiving anything, I called again and was told that a credit was on my account. I was assured I would receive the refund by the end of October, but that didnt happen.
When I called again today, I was told I needed to add my email address and account number to complete my account in order to receive the refund. I expressed my reluctance to create an account since I haven't used any of their services, but the representative insisted that it was the only way to proceed.
This experience has left me speechless and incredibly disappointed. I expected much better customer service, especially considering the nature of the issue. I would not recommend Enercare based on my experience.
