Customer service can be a bit "rough" but all in all great. Techs are the best. I was with Enercare before and what a nightmare with yearly contracts. Reliance is month to month so you can cancel anytime. I have a water heater rental with them too. Anytime there is an issue techs take time for a proper diagnosis and get the Job done well. They always offer a "show and tell" on the equipment they are working on. Last tech, Michael, was friendly, knowledgeable and had my AC unit fixed in 20 min. He showed me how to have my furnace run more efficiently. Upstairs is now 5 degrees cooler. Thank you Michael! You turned the hiccup I had with customer service into a 5 star review. I appreciate the run down and advice.

I had a furnace protection plan with enercare (former Direct Energy) for 5 years and it was great. A/C started acting up so decided to add the A/C plan to exciting plan. What a mistake! Apparently there was a clerical error. Rather then making it right, they decided to charge me both plan separately (25.99 EACH total over $50) rather then the joint plan $29.99 as they informed "it could not be changed now". When the bill came, it had charged me for 5 plans, total over $100. I called and was informed "billing manager" was on holidays but issue would be resolved. Long story short, the third bill was almost $800. Multiple calls with multiple reps claiming to have the problem solved resulted in nothing, they actually said until it was resolved, I should pay or might be send to collection and affect my credit! Took 6 months and the Ministry of Energy investigation for them to finally close the account and take back all charges. A complete nightmare. I would suggest another company out there whch has AC/Furnace plan at $19.99 and NO contracts. Month to month rather then this year to year from Enercare. Beware!

Here is my story. This is my first house and I've lived here for 8 years now. Since this was such a big job, I made sure to cover all ends. I did a lot of research on concrete installation and pouring process and how it should be done properly. I called all my friends that work in the industry and asked for advice and what to ask and what to look for when hiring a contractor. I looked at multiple contractors’ names and reviews. When I was ready, I called 6 (that’s right SIX) different companies with the best reviews and recommendations, one of them being Paradise. Matthew came to give the quote. He was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to what we wanted, make suggestions on how to make it more elegant, explain the work and made a proper quote and drawing of the project. The quote was fair when compared with the others. I made a final decision to go with Paradise, because first, I felt comfortable with Matthew. Second, their warranty is the best in the industry compared to others. And lastly, they did a house down the street 5 years ago and it still looks like they just finished yesterday. I called multiple times after signing to clarify questions and concerns and Matthew always replied in a timely fashion. The project: Remove existing deck, aggregate rear patio and shed pad, with side walk connected to side of the house, new front steps, new driveway and side car pad. Pictures attached. The work started in the agreed date, no delays. That is when I met Jamie, the owner. He was also very nice and we quickly went over the project and the stages it was going to be completed, as this was already discussed with Matthew. When Jamie realized that the original design Matthew had made was going to require an additional step and an extra foot of concrete on the parking pad, he informed right away and took the time to explain why. What he DID NOT DO was ask for more money for the additional concrete, something I was actually expecting. Jamie was present every day and made sure the work was flowing as planned. His crew was absolutely amazing and relentless. They just never stop. They kept informed of every step, told when they were leaving and when they would return. At the end, they took the time to clean everything, even the road out front was pressure washed. More importantly, as they work was being completed, they made sure I came out to inspect and always asked before leaving “are you happy with the work so far?”. The project was finished in 3 weeks and looks amazing. I gave everything a rinse and all the water flows away from the house. I can’t find a single flaw. My neighbor decided to get his front steps done as well and he is very happy. We also did our joined driveway. Come on down and drive around Rimmington drive in Oakville and I guarantee you will spot my house as it is the nicest front on the block, you will know the house when you see it trust me. I want to take this time to thank Matthew, Jamie and his entire crew. I would highly recommend Paradise to any of my friends and family.

Bob was the first to give me quote out of 3 companies I called. He was fair right from the beginning. Even after i added a substantial amount of work after the first quote, Bob still worked with me and gave me a great price that the competition just couldn't beat. Bob, Dave and crew showed up at the agreed time, trimmed 170 feet of hedges, took down 14 of them, elevated 3 mature trees, cut down a dead tree, 2 Lilacs and grinned all stumps, all within a couple of hours. Their clean up was immaculate. They even went above and beyond picking up all the trash that was between the trees. After they made sure I was happy with all the work before driving away. I would use them again and recommend their services to anyone. Thank you.

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

Must say what a difference an in house tech makes from an outsourced one. The last tech that came to my house (Andrew I believe was his name) was the best I've seen yet.
