Floodready distributed ads in my neighbourhood suggesting they were associated with the City of Markham and doing routine inspections to identify potential floodrisks and make recommendations, if needed. The CCTV video they took was terrible quality and useless; we'd actually had a reputable vendor take a CCTV video of the same line and could visibly see issues in the pipe. Despite having extremely poor quality video, they *surprise* suggested we required a backwater valve, sump pump and a bunch of other pre-packaged product offerings that made no sense. Despite charging us $400, they have yet to provide some of the documentation provided and don't return calls. Do yourself a favour and toss their ad in the garbage. They are neither associated with, approved nor endorsed by any City (even if you see them cc people from the City on communications). AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

After calling around re: a CCTV inspection, I went with Sewer Squad. The guy on the phone was extremely informative, pricing was very competitive and they suggested they could have someone come out same day. Within a couple hours they had one of their techs come out. Bing was great, very courteous, organized, cleanly and walked me through everything he was going to do. He worked efficiently, completed the job, gave me insightful feedback, booked the CCTV team (also coming same day). Left our laundry room jobsite spotless. Very impressed, would use again.

After getting distracted and leaving my garage open overnight, my wife suggested there was something in our garage. I shrugged her off until i found our garbage tattered all over the floor of our garage the next morning. We then spent two days and nights wondering how to evict this unseen critter hiding in our garage. My wife made the call to Sherwin at SOS. I balked at first as i thought this was something i could handle on my own. But when Sherwin came by, I knew it would be money well spent. He came on time and within minutes of showing up, he figured out where the raccoon had been, where it was hiding and set up a humane trap to get it out. After we set up the trap, we did a walkaround of the house and he provided some helpful tips on how to keep all critters out of and away from the house. Within hours of him leaving, the raccoon was captured in his cage and ready for pick up. Sherwin returned the next day and picked up the raccoon and cage. Bottom line, great experience with SOS but I hope not to have to deal with raccoons again.

Our AC died in the middle of an insane heat wave (June 2018). While I like to tinker with things before calling the pros, my wife and kids simply wouldn't have it and pretty much put a gun to my head to call a pro. Off to homestars to find someone and i dug up Cozy-world. With +1000 reviews and an excellent rating, i gave them a call. They took my call swiftly and had a technician (Fred) call me back within an hour. He troubleshoot the issue with me over the phone (for free!) though we quickly figured out it was either a capacitor or motor issue. He told me he would come by later in the day and was at our house within 4 hours. In 20 mins, he diagnosed the issue (capacitor), replaced it for less than his initial quote and was done. With AC fixed, my wife paid the man and tipped him a popsicle (it was hot). Great experience with Fred and would definitely call these guys again without hesitation.
