I learned this year what an "auto-renew" agreement is. Note that when you sign-up for Hometurf you are entering into a contract (without any binding documentation) to secure their services forever until you cancel. I believe 2017 was my first year with Hometurf. Before this year I would have given this company 8/10. The treatment program kept our lawn in good shape for several seasons and weed control was quite good. I would call each year in March to take advantage of an early discount offer and pre-pay for the year ahead. In my view, this is a how you order any service for your property. When March 2020 arrived and COVID hit, I had to move out of town for work. Lawn care was the last thing on my mind and I did not call to order service for 2020. I came home a few times over the summer & fall and in late September I opened a letter from HomeTurf that informed me I was past due the payment for 2020. It seems they had serviced my lawn all season, despite the fact I did not call to order. I called their office in early November to discuss and resolve the issue. After a few calls & speaking with their employees I offered to pay the early bird fee for 2020 season, since they had serviced my lawn all year after all. I thought this was VERY fair however a supervisor had a different point of view : either pay up the full regular fee or they would send my bill to COLLECTIONS! She was so rude and stated at length that by signing up for HomeTurf I had obligated myself to an AUTO-RENEW agreement and was responsible for charges every season until I opted-out and cancelled. She also did not believe it possible that I could be unaware HomeTurf had been providing service all summer. In the end, collecting an extra $60 (the difference between early bird and regular fee) was more important than reaching agreement with me, after which I would likely sign-up again the following year. I would never do so now. AVOID this company. You can get good lawn care from many places who value their customers.

We responded to an ad for PTI and within 24hrs Lucas arrived to look at our condo. We wanted to have painting done on some walls and wallpaper on other areas. We pre-selected all materials and Lucas even hooked us up with a supply store that gave us a discount. The painting was completed very quickly and all with perfect straight lines. The only mis-step was that one of the wallpapers shipped full of defects. This was not his fault but Lucas took it very seriously anyway and helped to resolve quickly what would have been a real grind for us to deal with. In the end, he even helped secure us a credit for future paper purchases as compensation. We really felt he had our best interest in mind all the way. I would hire him again in a heartbeat if we needed painting or wallpaper in the future.
