Company was recommended by my daughter who had a squirrel problem in her house attic. The company came at date and time of my choice. The company contacted me the day of the appointment to indicate the technician would be twenty minutes late. The technician determined my wildlife problem and gave me options on how to proceed after he determined other possible entry points. I took a proactive approach went went for the total protection of the first , second floor and roof. The price would have been a lot lower if I only delt the removal of the raccoons and securing the entry point. The technician was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I also received follow up emails with a detailed receipt and if l had further questions. I would not hesitate to use Gates Wildlife again.

Regular Maintaince, less than $100 per year. Tech, Dave Lewis above board dude, no BS just the the facts. Provided answers to questions, no pushing or recommending this or that. He told me that the igniter needed to be replaced in the near future, but since I had the insurance suggested I replace it now before it fails, that's being proactive which saves me a future service call. The part and labour was couvered under the furnace plan that I've always maintained, great peace of mind. Thanks Dave!

I don't usually consider contractors when they come to the door looking for work, I look for them. However, Jason was offering a service that l badly needed, parching of the garage foundation plus a minor brick replacement. He explained his process and made a recommendation to parge the front foundation, front door area and the side of the garage. He also mentioned he was on Home Stars so that put my mind at ease. I did check them out on Home Stars after I gave the go ahead and Jason said I didn't have to pay until I was satisfied with the work. His team showed up on time, two great guys who knew what they were doing and were pleasant to me with my questions. Side bar: One of my kids stepped on the front door landing parch job, but I left a message for Jason that I needed it repaired and he didn't let me down, one his guys showed up to repair our screw up. I've already asked for a small interior job that he can do when the weather does not allow his team to work outdoors. Thanks to the boys of EPE!

Found company on Home Stars but also recommended by Real Estate agent. Crew came in time and removed old furnace and replaced with new in a timely manner. The two installers were friendly and encouraged any questions that I may have. Once the furnace was installed and job site cleaned up the work process was totally explained to me. The installers did not collect payment as it was a separate process and dealt with the office by phone, email and finally in person to finalize my payment. It was my choice to go in person as you could also mail your or e-transfer your payment. It was a total pleasant experience and l also had the air conditioner repaired by same company on the same day as furnace install but by another tech who was also outstanding. BTW I love the company hat given to me at the office.

We had a plugged drain that caused ice built up and water on bottom of 4 year old Kitchen Aid fridge. I made an appointment with North Durham Appliance for the repair, since I wanted a morning appointment I had to wait 48 hours which was fine with me as in my mind it was not an emergency situation. The tech Chris called prior to showing up and was at the house within one hour. He did his job while answering my questions and was very easy to talk with. Chris took care of the job site making sure our flooring or counter top would avoid damage. Chris asked me if I was given a quote when I made an appointment, I didn't ask for one and didn't receive one I just knew a repair was needed. Chris gave me the price of the part and the labour charge breakdown; total price was reasonable for part and the time spent. This company was recommended from the store that we bought our appliances from in 2012 and to my surprise it was a top rated company on Home Stars.

Thank you Rimas for a job well done. On November 17 all exterior caulk on our home was removed and replaced with high quality caulk that can't be bought in regular retail stores. The bead was laid thick and smooth as Rimas expertly handled his caulk gun. This was a two man job were one man cut and removed the old caulk and Rimas doing the caulking, which had the job totally completed between 7:15AM and 12:30PM. After the job was completed including site clean up Rimas took me on a walk about on all doors, windows and window capping explaining what was done and answering my questions. There were at least three colours of caulk used to match the house. I received two quotes from Rimas, the first one was based on the number of doors and windows I had over the phone, the second quote was made once I had send Rimas photos of our house, the price was adjusted by $200 because of the extra work required for all the window capping. This was explained to me by telephone before an appointment was made to complete the job. I feel I received and paid for a quality job well done by a pro.

Home is now 30 years old and after the last major rainfall it was obvious new eavestroughs were needed. Checked home stars, the company website, their videos and a client who used True North two years ago who had nothing but good things to say about the True North, their owner John and the crew that did the work. I can agree with all the other reviewers, communication was quick through both email and phone, price was fair and what I expected, the job was completed with no delay as the weather could have been an issue in December, job site was cleaned up and you would have known anyone was there other than the view of gleaming eavestroughs and downspouts with the cast iron brackets, nice touch John! I feel a good test for a company that is good and offers good quality is the availability when they can do the work, in my case first contact was made on Dec 1 and the appointment scheduled for December 18.
